This is one of the best colleges for commerce and arts.

Placements: Sivnath Sastri College is one of the best colleges for commerce. The average salary package for the course is reasonable and can be offered to anyone. There are around 200 students in my class. Placements include top companies. Percentage of students who got internships is around 70%.

Good environment to cherish.

Placements: Studying in Sivanath is the best day of my life. It's the best place to get the proper education; they try their level best to give you support. They didn't offer such a placement but one or two opportunities they will surely give you. We get offers to connect with TCS, one of the top MNCs. Otherwise, some NGO company will come to you in such cases.

The harsh reality of such a good college.

Placements: Placements offered at our college are generally in tele-calling, chat support, and sales. The average salary package offered is 10k-15k per month. Companies like Mpokket, Bharat Matrimony, and Tele Performance visit our college. The job roles are not relevant with our respective course. So, the placements are not at all good.

The college is known as the best girls' college in South Kolkata.

Placements: Shivna Shastri College provides placements to students. Only semester 5 and semester 6 students are eligible for placement. Some of the recruiters who visited the college for placements are TCS, Wipro, Mahindra, Teach, etc. The highest package offered by companies was 7 to 8 lakhs per annum. Every year, 70% of students get placements.

I am absolutely satisfied with our college as it gives the best placements.

Placements: About 70% of the students are placed in our course. Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro Ltd. are the top recruiters. Government jobs are offered here, and aviation companies also offer us jobs. About 30% got internships in small companies that allow work from home.

Not satisfied because of the facilities provided.

Placements: I think not more than 40 percent. I was not part of the placement cell so I actually don't have an idea about the package; it was about 3–5 lacs per year. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Bajaj, and Matrimony. The top roles that were given were relationship manager, junior or senior assistant manager.

Overall, I feel proud to be an alumni of one of the top commerce colleges of Calcutta.

Placements: In the year 2018, companies like TCS, BPS and PWC, SDC visited for campus recruitment. Students appeared for a pen and paper based test conducted by the companies, upon which the next level selection was done. TCS had also organized a 5 day pre-placement training programme campus to corporate, where students participated to get to know how the corporate before appearing in placements, i. e. corporate ethics, presentation skills, communication skills. Upon completion of the programme, students ...

Placements: Above 80% students got placements. The highest salary offered 4 lakhs the lowest 30k. TCS offered the job. Students can participate in many events, like dance competition, fashion designing and other interesting staffs. The highest salary is about 2 lakh, the lowest is 30k offered to our course. Students need to appear for a online test by the companies through the college. Tcs is one of the top recruiting company in our college.

Satisfied with the faculty and education system provided by my college.

Placements: To say about Sivanath Sastri College which is in Gariahat, Kolkata, I would like to speak about my stipulated course. There are near about 600 students of B.Com (Hons) in our college which is not too expensive. It requires near about Rs.33960 for 3 years course. As far as I know about the placement it is that many reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, amy, ICICI, etc. , come to our college and select eligible candidates after taking exams which is done through a process and they offer impressive sa...

I am satisfied because the college charges low fees.

Placements: Around 30% of the students got placed. The salary packages offered were good for the students who had just completed their graduation. TCS was the top recruiting company for our college. Accounts consultants was the top role offered to students. The college doesn't provide any internships for students.

Overall, it's a good college and provides great knowledge and learning.

Placements: Only TCS visited our campus for placements and only for commerce background students. In our batch, only 30 students out of 450 students were selected and out of that only ten students were placed as for six month training period and then with permanent employee shift was there.

I am absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2018 and good infrastructure.

Placements: Companies like PWC, TCS visited our campus for recruitment. The placement cell of the college was good, and the recruited students got an average stipend of Rs. 10,000. This system is effective and essential because placement cell offered placements for the post-graduate students immediately after completing their course.

Our college is helpful to provide cooperative faculty, good infrastructure and better placements.

Placements: A placement cell operates in our college, which organises corporate visits and workshops in the welfare of our college students. Our college has recently signed an MOU with PWC, Brainware, and TCS. This placement cell has worked out in a very well manner for our senior batch as well.

A great college, and one must join it if given a chance.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. In 2016, TCS conducted a 10-day training workshop for which the students received certificates as well. The workshop included group tasks to judge parameters like teamwork and efficiency. Powerpoint presentations were also included to improve communication and presentation skills. Alongside, the college also held debates and elocution contests on current affairs to encourage public speaking. TCS provides internships to over 20 students who clear the 3-round in...

It is the best college for academics and also extracurricular activities.

Placements: Tata Consultancy Services and Price Waterhouse Coopers are the companies that visited the campus for placements. The training program is conducted on the campus for a week before placements. Many students were selected for both the companies and the salary packages offered were good. Every year, at least 40% of the students get placed.

I am happy with the high-level teaching style of our professors.

Placements: I don't know much about the placements because I am in the 2nd semester. But, some of our professors said that there are a lot of opportunities for placements. Some reputed industries visited our college and offered placements in the previous years. Many students were selected.

The fee structure of our college is okay, but the college can be a little better.

Placements: The placement procedure in our college is not that impressive. Only one company visited the campus for placements. We were expecting more companies to visit. Hence, the placement part is disappointing. I hope the college will change that and allow students to explore and get chances in the placement programme.
