University College of Commerce and Business Management Admission Process 2024

It is University College under Osmania University. The University Colleges, also known as campus colleges are departments located within the University campus. Established in 1975, this campus college has two departments: the Department of Commerce and the Department of Business Management.

Collectively with both the departments, this campus college offers PG and doctoral programmes in the field of Commerce and Business Management Studies, which include MBA, MCom, PG Diploma in Taxation and PhD.

University College of Commerce and Business Management Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection

The University College of Commerce and Business Management under Osmania University offers two-year MCom and MBA along with a one-year PG Diploma in Taxation to the students. Admissions to all these courses are based on a valid score in course-level entrance exams.

At the doctoral level, this campus college under Osmania University offers a PhD programme. Admission is granted to students who’ve qualified UGC- JRF, NET, State CET, and OU entrance test only. In addition to these entrance exams, candidates must also fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified in the table below:

MCom CBCS*	A BCom graduate with 40% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (passing scores are sufficient for SC/ ST candidates)

PG Diploma in Taxation	A Commerce or Law graduate from a recognised university with 40% aggregate and Taxation as one of the subjects

University College of Commerce and Business Management Admission Process 2024: Fast Facts

University College of Commerce and Business Management admission 2021 is completely based on CPGET and TSICET exams. Admission to all the PG programmes at this campus college is offered via these exams. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply to these exams after which provisional allotment of admissions will be made through a process of web-based counseling

PG Courses

Admission to MCom, MCom in Information System and PG Diploma in Taxation is subject to a valid score in CPGET
Candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility and entrance requirement for PG Diploma in Taxation are given centralised spot admission as per the reservation rules of the Government of Andhra Pradesh
For admission to MBA and MBA Tech Management, candidates are required to have a valid score in TSICET exam

PhD Course

Admission to PhD is granted to students who’ve qualified UGC- JRF, NET, State CET or OU entrance test only
In addition to these entrance exams, candidates must also fulfil minimum eligibility criteria of having a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate (for General category)

Direct admission may be used to circumvent the normal college or university application process, which is usually conducted by means of entrance examinations, interviews and long applications forms. For both PG and UG students, direct access to the university is not possible. DOST and TSICET is the only way to do it. TSICET 2021 Application Process

The registration deadline for TSICET is extended until May 31 due to COVID-19 crisis. Candidates can fill the application form through the official website of TSICET.

Click on the 'Application Fee Payment' tab on the home page and fill in all the details

An adorable university. It's my dream.

Placements: Our college has good placements. As we are from management field, we get managerial roles. Top recruiters are HDFC bank, Nestle and many other MNCs. Suitable internships were also provided. Everyone gets placed in well reputed organisations.

Infrastructure: Our college delivers good quality of knowledge. We have good infrastructure and good facilities in our hostel and classrooms. I am enjoying my university life.

Faculty: The teachers are really great people. They have minimal of 30 years of experience in the field. They are experts in their subjects and they deliver good knowledge to the students. If a student has good knowledge about the exams then they are easy to pass. We need to prepare well for them.

Review of Osmania University.

Placements: Around 95% will get placed. In Telangana, it is the best university to get a higher salary package and most top-level companies will be recruited. Around 50% of students get an internship in various companies. In 2021, 22LPA was the salary package offered to Osmania which is the best package.

Infrastructure: College premises and hostel environment will be peaceful and pleasant. All the facilities are there for a student like sports, indoors and outdoors, swimming pool, library, Wi-Fi facility, and medical facility. A canteen is also available for every student. Good environment with greenery.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with huge knowledge. They will be eco friendly with students and supportive. Semester exams are pretty difficult but a perfect knowledge and sincere in education will able to score above 7.5 CGPA.

Other: I am from a commerce background in graduation. So, I choose M.Com in Osmania University which is the top best college in Telangana. It is 1200 acres and with greenery and frequently there will be some events, fests conducted. Scholarships will be given to eligible students.

Satisfied till now, and waiting for second year to start.

Placements: 90% placements are offered; if we consider waste companies too, then it will be 100% placements; 4 LPA–14 LPA are the package range; the average would be 6–8 LPA. The top three companies that come to mind are Deloitte, AMG, and Federal Bank. Many companies come to hire here, so if you just want any job, then you can get one.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is there, but you have to ask permission in writing. There are big, good, digital classes, and a huge library full of books. You can find all the research here, and there is a main campus for all campuses separately. There are also other sports like volleyball, basketball, shetland clock, and swimming.

Faculty: Teachers for technology management are the best; they have ample knowledge and are supportive; exams are normal and strict; the standard of teaching is very good; but 75% attendance is mandatory so if you are thinking of joining without attendance, leave it.

Other: The course is new and the best; it is not available in other colleges; just the main technology management subject topics are not yet available (no subject books are available).

Placements: No recruiting companies come to our college. Students here are poor and can't speak their language well. It is tough to get admission in other colleges, so students join here.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very bad. There is no proper system. The food is the worst. College life is bad. There is no proper sanitation. The hostel is bad. The campus is dirty. Single sharing rooms are available. 506 members stay in the hostel, and it is not recommended.

Faculty: All the faculty members are bad. The college must recruit new faculty. Proper education must be provided. Students are struggling to speak properly.

Other: The college needs to improve the quality of education and provide chances to the youth.

Our college has a moderate teaching quality, good infrastructure and facilities and low placements.

Placements: Around 5-6% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Mostly only TCS recruits M.Com students, and the top role offered in our course is an accountant. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1.4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Usually, we don't do any internships.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere in our college. The computer lab is good, with almost 100 computers, and there are digital classrooms, but they are not air-conditioned so far. The library is also very good and is open from 9 am to 9 pm. Our college provides very good hostel facilities, along with 24 hours of Wi-Fi facility. There is one of the best messes on the campus. For the entire campus, one health centre is available. There is a separate sports department in our college.

Faculty: We can't generalise the whole teaching quality of the teachers in our college as some teachers are good, while some are worse. However, they are fully qualified with moderate knowledge and also helpful. The course curriculum is good. We can manage with the knowledge gained through this course outside, but we may not be completely industry-ready.

Other: I always wanted to be a professor, so I chose M.Com. The best thing about commerce course is the way you see the economic activities which are happening around, and you will get a different experience if you involve in the course properly. I wish that our college should provide more practical training. Our college organises a lot of events like a Tea party, freshers, Bathukamma event, annual day, Manjeera tournament for hostelers and farewell.

We have good infrastructure, a positive environment, and good faculty.

Placements: About 95% of students got placed. The lowest package is 4 LPA, and the highest package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, ICICI, HDFC, KPMG, and TCS. Sixty percent of students secured internships in taxation, marketing, sales, and HR roles. We have to try off-campus for placement.

Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi, a number of classrooms, and large library access with many books. Our high-technology labs are available for everyone, and we have many facilities in the college. There are two blocks for commerce and business administration students, with spacious classrooms and ample playground and parking space.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and highly experienced, providing quality education. They are friendly and knowledgeable. We have projects in the curriculum, which are moderately difficult, but the pass percentage is high. There are seminars and workshops as well. It’s a good college.

Other: We have extracurricular activities like freshers' events, farewell parties, and traditional days.
