Q:   Is BCA at University Commerce College worth the investment?

A:
{Source: BCA students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

Pros:

* Industry-ready course with a focus on developing practical skills in computing and programming
* Cooperative and knowledgeable teachers who are willing to help students
* Good infrastructure, including smart classrooms, computer labs, and recreational facilities
* Opportunities for internships and jobs through external means, with packages ranging from INR2.9 Lacs to INR4.5 Lacs per annum
* Scholarships available for deserving students
* Campus life is decent, with occasional events and festivals

Cons:

* Limited placement opportunities within the college, with only a few companies visiting annually
* Old syllabus and limited emphasis on practical knowledge
* Infrastructure could be improved, particularly in terms of classroom maintenance
* Limited availability of resources, including Wi-Fi and library materials
* Low pass percentage (around 36%) due to outdated curriculum

Verdict:
While the course seems to offer some advantages, particularly in terms of preparing students for industry demands, the limitations mentioned above may outweigh the benefits for some individuals. Additionally, the lack of placement opportunities within the college might impact the employability of graduates. Therefore, potential investors should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.

Recommendation: For those considering investing in a BCA programme at University Commerce College, it would be essential to research further and gather more information about the college's reputation, academic standards, and career outcomes. Consider reaching out to current students or recent alumni to gain a deeper understanding of the program's strengths and weaknesses.

A:
{Source: BCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BCA Courses at University Commerce College

Based on student reviews, here's an analysis of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BCA courses:

* Limited Placement Opportunities: According to students, the college does not organize placements or internships, and no companies visit the campus to offer jobs.

* Students Get Jobs Outside: Despite the lack of internal placements, some students managed to secure jobs outside through their own efforts.

* Placement Percentage Less Than 40%: Unfortunately, fewer than 40% of students get placed, indicating limited opportunities.

* Top Companies Visited (Rarely): Although rare, some notable companies like ISI and Nestle have visited the college for recruitment purposes.

* Lack of Guidance: While the college provides guidance on finding employment, it doesn't seem to lead to significant placements.

Overall, the placement cell appears to be ineffective, with few students securing jobs through internal means. However, some students have managed to find employment outside due to their individual efforts.

Remember to consult multiple sources and consider various perspectives before making decisions about enrolling in a program.

The quality of teaching, food, and entertainment is very good.
Placements: Our college does not provide many placements. The percentage of placements is less than 40%. Many students got placed in top companies such as ISI, Nestle, etc. Placements are not good in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good than other colleges. Our college has many playgrounds to play many games. All buildings are in very good condition. Our college has many gardens to visit in your free time. Our college renews every 2-3 years. The campus is very good. The quality of the food is delicious.

It is the best college for students.
Placements: Around 20% of our course students get placed on campus and off campus. The highest salary package offered off-campus is 30 LPA and the lowest salary package offered by ICICI Bank is 2.90 LPA. Apcino, Starbits, Exoys Solutions, and ICICI are some online companies that participated in on-campus placements. The roles offered are relationship manager, developer trainee, and junior software developer trainee.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are not modern but students can practice in labs efficiently. Wi-Fi is available but not permitted to students. Labs are fully equipped but poorly maintained. Students get course-related books in the library for the whole academic year which should be returned after exams. Hotels are average. The quality of food served in the mess is below average. The canteen is maintained efficiently with delicious and freshly prepared snacks. Medical facilities are not good. First aid is available. Students get full exposure to sports and games. Students who are good at sports will get many opportunities with the support of our college.
Faculty: Guest teachers are appointed in our college by the government. Some MCA teachers are appointed by the university. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not good. Students score well if they do self-study. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry ready. It is updated this year according to the data science industry.
Other: I chose this course to work in the IT sector.

Best college for commerce students.
Placements: This is a government college situated at JLN Marg, Jaipur. The college does not provide any type of placement or internship. No companies come to this college to provide placements. The students of this college get the job outside with their own passion.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college has three constructed floors with more than 100+ classrooms, a sports ground, a table tennis court, a badminton court, parking, its own hostel, computer labs, a sick room, a canteen that provides fresh food, a nearby hospital, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are so educated and knowledgeable. They support the students with any type of problem. The teachers are very few in my course. About 20 percent of students at this college are in this course. There is one exam per year. The pass percentage is 36 percent in each subject.
Other: The seniors help students if they are stuck in any situation. The college conducts so many events, fests, concerts, etc. They also provide scholarships to the students.

Its a good college where teachers support each and every student.
Placements: There are no placement opportunities available at the college, but they provide students with deep knowledge about how to get a job. You can do an internship or job along with the college; attendance is not compulsory like in other colleges.
Infrastructure: Each hostel has a residential Faculty Warden, Assistant Warden, and Attendants who are being monitored by a Chief Warden & the Manager Hostel Administration to promptly address the day to day issues of the hostel residents. To ensure security and safety of the hostel inmates, 24X7 security guards are on duty, and CCTV cameras have been installed for surveillance.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they always teach in a manner so that students can easily get passed. The pass percentage is 80% or above, and this is because of the faculty members; they are so nice and cooperative. They give deep, detailed knowledge. I recommend this college.

Faculty is way better than I expected and labs also.
Placements: I think almost 30 percent of students were placed in this course. The highest package offered in our course was as high as 4.5 lac per annum. There are various companies who recruits BCA students but on the top of it TCS (Tata Consultancy services) recruits the most Of BCA students and also I Love TCS.
Infrastructure: First of all infrastructure in labs is good a way better than I expected there are 4 labs in college and all labs has a good infrastructure. Even there is Wi-Fi also you can use but you have to have to permission from coordinator in order to use it.
Faculty: First of all, all the teachers in commerce college were highly qualified and private colleges and there teaching quality is also good mostly. Course curriculum is somewhat not ready student must have to prepare by herself to be industry ready. Semester exams is okay.

College provides a good learning environment.
Placements: In my college, no placements are done because the University Commerce College does not organize placements or job fairs. But the government of Rajasthan organized a job fair last year. My friends are doing external internships at many companies, such as ATG Global Technology, Finonest India, etc. 40 to 50 percent of students got internships in my college via external means such as Internshala and other platforms. Software engineer, Android developer, and many computer engineer roles are offered in my course. The BCA course offers an average of 360000 to 480000 rupees per annum, with 45 Lacs being the highest and 240000 being the lowest package offered.
Infrastructure: In my course, all the necessary facilities and infrastructure are provided by the college. Smart classrooms and computer labs are also provided. My college campus is very clean now. On campus, the college provides many sports activities and also provides coaching for cricket, football, and many other games. The mess and canteen serve good-quality foods. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: All teachers are very cooperative, knowledgeable, and helpful. They are provided a good environment to learn new things. Yes, this course is industry-ready. Nowadays, there is a very high demand for software engineers and computer-related students. The passing percentage of my course is 50%.
Other: I chose the course because of my interest in computers, programming, and coding. This course gives you a platform to use your mental skills to make algorithms and projects.
