Good for preparation and GATE.
Placements: 70% of students from last year got placed. The placement scenario last year was like the highest package was 34 LPA, the lowest was 1.5 LPA and the average was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Phonepe, BYJU, etc. None got an internship from my batch. There is nothing like on campus internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is very beautiful, it's full of trees, grass, and plants. Every building is well furnished. Every course has different buildings. Some classrooms have AC and some do not. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. The hostel is very good. The food in the mess is really tasty and has a huge variety.
Faculty: Most teachers are very helpful. Many of our teachers are from IIT, NIT, and many reputed Universities. Teachers are very experienced in their respective fields. The course is just a little old so it is not making students industry-ready. The semester exam difficulty is moderate. You need 33 to 38% to pass the semester.
Other: I chose this course because it plays well and it is highly demanding. To improve this course the syllabus should be renewed and more likely to be practical. Everyone who fills for the scholarship gets it. You can see many events and festivals on campus like a fresher, garba night, many kavi sammelans and many more.

The Complete College Experience
Placements: During our college placement season, many companies visited and offered packages of 400,000 rupees. Many students interested in the campus process came and were interviewed. Those who were shortlisted joined the companies, but the companies that visited my college were low-grade.
Infrastructure: I am a Bachelor of Technology (Information Technology) student, which is a technical course. Our college has all the resources related to the course, like labs and computers, which we have been using effectively. There are many teachers related to our course, and all of them have completed higher studies. The faculty understands the students very well. The infrastructure of our hostel is also quite good, with four meals a day: breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, snacks in the evening, and dinner at night. The staff in our hostel is also very good.
Faculty: The faculty related to my course is excellent. All the teachers interact well with the students and understand them thoroughly. We can ask them questions at any time. Our course has a semester duration of six months, with two mid-term exams and one final exam in each semester. The average of the mid-term exams is taken, and there are also two quiz tests in the semester, whose average is considered.
Other: All the students in our batch are very good. Our college campus is also very big and beautiful, and some events and fests are organized here from time to time.

Not satisfied with placement .
Placements: The interview process was poorly organized, with long wait times and unclear communication. Technical questions were consistent with the job role, and the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Improvement in coordination is needed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is adequate with essential facilities in place. However, there is room for improvement in areas like Wi-Fi connectivity, workplace ergonomics, and maintenance. Overall, it meets basic needs but could benefit from some enhancement.
Faculty: The faculty lacks engagement and often fails to clarify concepts, making learning difficult. The curriculum feels outdated and doesn't align well with industry standards. Exams are poorly structured, focusing more on rote memorization than practical application. Overall, it's a disappointing experience.
Other: Information technology 2024.

Honest Review of UIET, CSJMU Kanpur
Placements: Only 10 percent of students got placed. Highest and lowest placement this year is 5 LPA and 2.5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Jagran, Mittal Software Labs, Emies, etc. No scope for getting internship, students have to apply on their own based on their skills.
Infrastructure: The college campus, library and hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi, college have different labs and labs are in above average condition. Library don't have books you search for and library staff nature is too rude. Average food is provided in mess and college canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and helpful too but for meeting them personally you have to wait for them for hours in front of their cabin. Teaching quality is just average, you've to do everything on their own for developing your skills to become industry ready.
Other: I choose this course because always wanted to get placed before my graduation gets completed and that's the best thing about my course. Top roles offered after competing the course is of generally Web Developer. Semester exams occur every after 1.5 months, there are 2 Mid-Sems/quizzes and a End-Sem. Difficulty level isn't just very high but it depends from teacher to teacher. Generally 95 percent of students got oass in semester exams. Teaching quality should be improved very necessarily as sometimes you'll feel tarchers just take classes for doing formality. Every student fill the UP Scholarship form every year and about 80 percent 9f students got the scholarship too. There are no such frequently happening events, fest, or extracurricular activities. Even we never get our freshers and there occurs Independence Day cultural event only once in 4 years.

Absolutely satisfied with the course selected by me.
Placements: The companies are listed as follows: Infosys, TCS, Axis, etc. The highest package offered is 1.25 CR, the lowest package is 6 lakhs, and the average package is 7 lakhs. In every branch, approximately 70% of the students got internships based on their skills, such as electric chip set designing.
Infrastructure: There are proper classrooms for lectures, and free Wi-Fi is available in every department. The labs are properly equipped for every experiment. The canteen provides adequate refreshments, and the labs are well-facilitated with modern equipment.
Faculty: The faculty is well-qualified, with most being PhD holders. The interaction with students is decent. Classes are conducted using digital methods and blackboards. Faculty members possess excellent knowledge of both previous and current activities related to the topics. There is one-on-one interaction between teachers and students.
Other: This course provides a proper stable life direction and imparts specific knowledge about new inventions in the electronic field. Cultural fests are organized periodically to refresh the minds of the students. The campus is expansive, allowing for effective crowd management.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025

Review of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from CSJMU Kanpur.
Placements: About 10% of the students in my batch were placed after graduation. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. The companies that recruited students this year were Jagran and Mittal Software Labs, and they only recruited students from the CSE program. There is very little chance of getting a job in the Mechanical Engineering program. About 50% of the students in my batch were able to find internships on their own, based on their skills. The university did not provide any assistance in finding internships. Most of the students who got internships went to work for tech companies.
Infrastructure: The campus is lush and green, and the classrooms are smart and well-equipped with cameras. The library looks good, but we usually can't find the books we need. The hostel rooms are shared by two students and have Wi-Fi, a small playground, and basic furnishings. The food is average, and the medical facilities are not always up to the mark. Sports and games are not a regular occurrence, happening only two or three times a year. There's a big stadium next to the helipad area of the college.
Faculty: The faculty to be very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The grading system is relative, meaning that the student with the highest score gets an A+, and other students are graded according to that highest-scoring student. The exams are not very difficult, but we do need to have the desire to learn. If we attend class and pay attention, we can do well.
Other: I wanted to do B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for my family business. The best thing about the course is that it prepares you for the industry. The teachers are very knowledgeable, but they are often busy with other tasks and don't spend enough time teaching the students. Events and fests are sporadic. The boy-to-girl ratio in the class is 4:1, but the overall college ratio is 1:1. Students who score more than 40-50% each year and provide the correct information on the scholarship form are eligible for the UP Scholarship. As an OBC student, I received Rs. 52,000/- as a scholarship.
