Review of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from CSJMU Kanpur.

Placements: About 10% of the students in my batch were placed after graduation. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. The companies that recruited students this year were Jagran and Mittal Software Labs, and they only recruited students from the CSE program. There is very little chance of getting a job in the Mechanical Engineering program. About 50% of the students in my batch were able to find internships on their own, based on their skills. The university did not provide any ass...

Not satisfied with placement .

Placements: The interview process was poorly organized, with long wait times and unclear communication. Technical questions were consistent with the job role, and the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Improvement in coordination is needed.

Absolutely not so much satisfied.

Placements: 8-10 student were placed in my branch (ECE) in different sales companies and Vi and private company. The highest package in my branch was 5 LPA and minimum it was 3.6Lpa. Vi, Viraj Ventures hired from my branch, other software companies had also visited.

It is an average college.

Placements: Around 25% of students get placements on campus every year. Good companies, like Byjus and Extra Marks, offer placements in our college. Students have to work hard to get placed.

I think I wasted my money by taking admission in this college.

Placements: About 20% of students get placed. The highest package offered in 2022 is 11.5 LPA, and the lowest package is about 1.5 LPA. Hardly one gets internships from my college because the professors to whom the college has given the responsibility of internship barely do any work.

You have to check ROI and campus placements before joining a college.

Placements: The placement cell is not active. They are unable to attract good companies for all branches, only general tech companies come here to offer average packages. Very few students got placed on their own in tech companies, but you can see the chances of improvement.

It has average placements and good infrastructure. I'm dissatisfied with some faculty.

Placements: I am (2020 batch) currently pursuing information technology from CSJM University Institute of Engineering and Technology. Placements are average. I think the highest salary package offered was 40 LPA or 45 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. I don't have much idea about internships.

It is an average college.

Placements: In our college, about 10% of the students got placed through campus selection. The highest salary package offered is about 7.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered is about 3.6 LPA. Many companies are offering salary packages like Byju's, etc. The internship percentage is also very low.

There are no placements in our college for chemical engineering.

Placements: There are no placements in chemical engineering. You have to go for placements outside the college. No company comes here to offer placements. Even if any company comes here, they do not offer valuable jobs that match your expectations. You can achieve your dream jobs only by qualifying GATE.

It is only worth getting a degree, don't expect placements.

Placements: We don't have on-campus placements. Students are only placed through off-campus placement drives offered by various companies like TCS, Accenture, etc., or start-ups. They just forward the links of off-campus drives. No internships or placements are referred by this college.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: The placements are average, but most of the students don't go for placements, they go for GATE, UPSC etc. The average package offered is 5-6 LPA, and the highest package offered in 2019 is 12 LPA. Placements depend upon your knowledge and confidence, so you can also go for off-campus placements.

I think well-qualified teachers should be appointed.

Placements: Only a few students got placed through on-campus placements from our college, and they got a salary package of only around 2.5 LPA to 4 LPA. However, now, our college is trying to improve its placements, but it will take a lot of time. Some companies visit here for on-campus placements. Many students opted for off-campus placements, and some of them got placed also. In the 2020 year, one of our seniors of the CSE branch got a salary package of 20 LPA in Flipkart as he is excellent at coding. One...

The college provides only degree and not placements.

Placements: Not a single company visits our college. Since I am a student of CS 2-nd year, I have seen very less students getting placed in any product-based company in the last two years. The students got placed in big companies off-campus. The average package is 3-4 LPA, and the highest package is 12-14 LPA (very rare). Most of the students are placed from CS and IT only.

Our college has every facility, but they are of average or below average quality.

Placements: From the last two to three years, our college has started providing on-campus placements with the highest salary package of 12 LPA in the CS branch. Except for IT and CS branch, you won't get placements in this college in other branches. However, if you are exceptional, you will surely get placements from the MEE branch also. This year one student got a salary package of 12 LPA from the MEE branch.

Placements: About 20% of students in our course get placed every year. The highest salary package offered in our course is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies Wipro and Infosys visit our campus for placements. A top role offered to the students is a coder. The highest salary package offered in our course is 8 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. It is a government college with low fee, but the placements are nil here.

Placements: For the chemical department, there were almost no placements. Students graduating from the chemical department have to either look for a job on their own or pursue higher studies like MBA or M.Tech in their field of interest. Students in our batch attended for companies which are not offering jobs in their respective field of study. Students studying in CS and IT branches find some opportunities with a limited number of companies that are visiting the college for placements. They are also sent t...

Faculty members are the reason why I'm not suggesting you to take admission here.

Placements: The placements of UIET are not any different from other engineering colleges. The average salary package offered was around 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest was 1.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys and Jagran Group visited the campus. Even many other companies also visited here for placements.

A budget-friendly college, and students get a lot of free time.

Placements: The placements in the college are bad. The college doesn't care much for the placements of students. They only make us take part in pool campus placements in other institutes which are in and out the city, where there is very less possibility to get hired. There is a placement cell, but they don't care much, and they won't event provide good facilities and respond properly if any company visits the college.

Absolutely satisfied from the college.

Placements: In my personal opinion students can't rely on campus placement in this college percentage of campus placement is very low. Very few companies come to college for placement students having very high percentile only have scope for college placement. Companies like infosys tcs etc. Come to college for placement packages around 2.5lac pa is offered.

Average faculty and good infrastructure.

Placements: Though my college is an autonomous college, placement is very poor. The package goes up to max 3 LPA but for few only. Very less amount of students is placed yearly. Students have to go for pool placements in other colleges like PSIT. The highest salary is about 3.5 LPA, the average is about 2 LPA. There is no support by the side of college for placements. I haven't heard the name of the companies before which visit my college. Students do the internship, and the college does not provide any fac...
