The head of the placement cell works hard enough to get a good amount of organisations to recruit students.

Dissatisfied with the placements and infrastructure.
Placements: In my course, around 20 percent of students are placed. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, and the least was around 2.4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Samsung, Intel, Havells, etc. Around 30 percent of students get internships. The top roles offered were system analyst and telecom engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not very good. The campus is very small. The labs are not maintained properly. Well-equipped equipment is not present. The library is present and is quite good, and books can be issued easily. The hostel facilities are not available in this college. PGs are available nearby, but students have to pay a lot of fees, and the quality of food there is okay, and the mess is quite nice, and there are very few sports facilities in the college, and the college has its own ground.
Faculty: Teachers here are not highly qualified and knowledgeable. They just come to deliver the lectures. The syllabus and curriculum are not at all relevant and don't make students industry-ready. Passing exams here is easy, and the paper is set here in the college. The pass percentage is around 33 percent.
Other: I choose this course because I love this branch of electronics; it suits my interests best. The best thing about my course is making different things and circuits and chips. A better curriculum should be there to make it more interesting and industry ready. Every year, Nith Hillfair is organized, and singers are invited. Every student gets a chance to showcase their talent. Scholarships are provided to students. Extracurricular activities are there, but students here only study.

Poor infrastructure and placement.
Placements: The placement record of the college is poor. Out of 66 students, only 7-8 students get placed. The average package offered is 2.4 LPA, with the highest package being 8 LPA, offered by companies like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS. Hardly any students get internships. The top roles offered are in web development.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below average. Labs are not maintained properly, and essential instruments for learning are unavailable. The library is decent for issuing books, and classrooms are nice. However, there are no hostels for students. On the brighter side, the sports facilities are good, with a big ground, and there are various clubs that students can join based on their preferences.
Faculty: The faculty here is not well-qualified. Most teachers just read slides and move on. The curriculum is outdated and not helpful in preparing students for the industry. Exams are very easy, and students often secure an 8 CGPA by studying just a week before exams.
Other: I chose this course because I had no other choice. The best thing about my course is its potential to grow in the future, similar to computer science. However, it would be better if they focused more on practical learning rather than rote learning. Scholarships are rarely provided to students. On a positive note, the annual fests like Utkarsh are very enjoyable and well-organized.

College do not have good infrastructure and placement.
Placements: Do not have good placement. The highest package of Uiit is 11lakh only. The average package of Uiit is 4 to 5 lakh only. Their are not so much companies visiting the college. Only out of 100 students only 10 to 15 students got placement in companies.
Infrastructure: Do not have good infrastructure. Have only one building and all the 5 branch are exist in only in 4 floors. Do not have good labs, practicals, experience teachers. Uiit do not have any hostel facility. Their are only pg and room facilities available.
Faculty: Faculty, curriculum, and exams at UIIT Shimla (University Institute of Information Technology, Shimla) are structured to provide a comprehensive education in various fields of information technology. For specific details regarding faculty members, detailed curriculum structure, or examination patterns

Good for IT and CSE branch, bad for CE and ECE.
Placements: Placement in UIT is limited. They have good placement in IT and CSE, but they have a low rate of placement in my trade, i.e., civil department CE, which was introduced about 4 years ago in UIT, so they have low placement in UIT. Top packages are grabbed by CSE students.
Infrastructure: In workshops, there is limited equipment and cannot fulfil the requirements of civil workshop equipment. There are no proper skilled teachers for teaching here. There are no hostel facilities, and there is no campus of the University Institute of Technology.
Faculty: Some teachers are qualified and skilled, but some of them do not know how to teach properly. I am currently studying in the 3rd semester. My 1st semester exams are not so tough. They do not focus on the skilled and practical knowledge of students. There is no scope for any average student there.
Other: Fest of University Institute of Technology is actually good. They have many festivals like Techniqual Festival, Utkarsh, and Gaddi Group.

UIT, worth to take admission!
Placements: The placement rate in college is very good. Every year, several companies approach the college to hire students. Last year, the average salary package was 7 LPA. Students can choose an internship according to their needs, and the college provides every required permission for an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quiet good. Students can easily access the library of the college and Wi-Fi, while the classrooms use high-tech teaching equipment for better understanding. While there's no hostel available for students, students have to depend on PG's or rented rooms around the college.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are very well qualified, always looking towards helping the students in any way possible. The professor's teaching techniques make it easy for students to understand each and every topic. If students study hard, they can easily pass the semester exams.
Other: UIT and HPU are two of the best government institutes. It's a very good college to join if you want to enhance your skills and are interested in engineering studies.

University institute of technology, Himachal pradesh university.
Placements: Since I'm still pursuing my course, so there's no one from my course who are placed. But still my some of seniors are with good placements. The basic average of the students placed from my college are 100 to 300 students per year, more it depends on you how much you can achieve.
Infrastructure: There are number of facilities available for students like a separatw building for department with its own canteen, several labs are available, Wi-Fi is available for students, library is also available. Building is in a dense forest area, full of pace, no disturbance, but there's no hostel available since it just provides hostel for master degree only.
Faculty: Well, all the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, even the teaching quality is too good. All the teachers are nice with nature for everyone. Yes this course is curriculum relevant as well as it makes the students industry ready easily.
