Overall, the college is one of the best in Mumbai.
Placements: In the first year, the percentage of students in B.Com. were actually good, somewhere between 50 and 70%. The placement is good to expend income in between 1 lakh to 5 lakh or above and the top recruiting companies are Colgate and TCS. 25% of the students did the internship at Colgate.
Infrastructure: You well get everything in college: good infrastructure, facilities, wi-fi, library and classroom. And canteen food is good to affordable. You also get to play sports on behalf of college and you can play games in Gymkhana. You have so many options.
Faculty: Professors are really helpful and understand. And the college offers many internships, and the college also has programs that require students to innovate something to do something. Exams are not that difficult if you get an idea of how they're going to be. The passing rate is 95%.
Other: My course is B.Com is actually pretty good if you know how to use what you have studied. Also, it improves your knowledge about business and different sectors of business. And our college has a festival called Dimensions; it's one of the best festivals, I would say.

B.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2024

Would not recommend joining this college to any fresher. Not so huge campus. Facilities are poor.
Placements: The college has written they are the fifth-ranked biotech department in India; it is a complete lie. No teacher stays here and there are no placements. I personally didn't get any placement and neither did any of my friends. The placement team is there but of no use; they will send ads for call center jobs that are of no use.
Infrastructure: No hostel accommodation is provided by the college; the biotech lab has sufficient equipment but lab technicians and teachers don't allow you to use any. In the lab, you can't perform experiments alone; they'll tell you it finishes resources. Classrooms are good, but libraries are useless, and they don't provide books.
Faculty: Head of Department Miss Deepali Karkhan is good at teaching but has a lot of arrogance. The course curriculum is designed by the University of Mumbai and personally, I thought it was of no use to be industry-ready. Exams are quite easy, with 35% passing marks.
Other: I chose this course because I had a great interest in biotechnology, but I'll suggest youngsters please plan before joining this college. In the final year project, they will provide any resources to you; if you use any source from the college, you will be charged for it. There is a fest called Dimensions, which is the only attraction of the college, but I'll suggest you don't fall for it.

VG Vaze College - Not as it seems.
Placements: Only 10% of students got placements as it was very clear that the college doesn't provide placements for this course right from the start. The placement details weren't disclosed, and no information about the companies was provided. Only 10% of students who appeared for placements actually secured them. Basic roles were offered for a B.Com graduate.
Infrastructure: The canteen service is very average, and there are no hostel or other allied services offered to the students. However, the classrooms and library are very airy and spacious. The Wi-Fi available for students doesn't work, and there are sometimes issues with cellular coverage too, which can be problematic in emergencies.
Faculty: The faculty is very average, they pretend to know a lot, but when questioned in detail, they tend to shift the topic. The curriculum is very relevant to the students studying here. The semester exams are super easy, and they tend to give all the students a "question bank" - God knows why they do this, but it's really terrible.
Other: The crowd here is very ill-mannered, and there are plenty of events happening in this college. Unfortunately, no scholarships are offered. The college charges the students if they need a college attesting letter for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for foreign travel.

Good college, but not the best college .
Placements: The number of students placed in my course was about 60, and the package is almost the same for everyone, about INR 15 to 20k per month. I am not sure about the internships from the colleges, as I got them by myself, but my friend got the internship from the college, and he was happy.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was up-to-date and better to work with. The Wi-Fi was responsive, and we were able to make good use of it. The network connection was also better. If we talk about libraries, there are many books to study.
Faculty: The college teachers are the best; their knowledge and skills are full, and the teaching quality was awesome. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it does make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very tough, and the passing rate was about 70 to 80%. Most students passed with 70–75%.
Other: The very awful thing about the college that I dislike the most is the fact that students are not given preference; the college only showcases itself among the outside students, and I hated that very much. The college students were standing in the queue for almost 7 to 8 hours, including me, and then, after that, they said that we would be able to take the students to the college as the college was full. This was the most awful thing about the college, and I will highly recommend that you not take admission to this college as they do not value their own students in the fests and other gatherings.

It is a good college and cultural events are excellent.
Placements: There are 60 students in a batch. Six students got selected. The top role offered is an intern. It is an autonomous college that provides good education and facilities.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available. A library is available, where students can study and borrow books. A canteen is available. The quality of food in the canteen is good and affordable. A huge playground is available for sports. IT labs, chemistry labs, physics labs, biology labs, etc., are available.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified. They clear our doubts. The course curriculum is quite similar. For the science stream, you have practical sessions four days a week. Semester exams are easy if we study. The pass percentage is average. It makes students industry-ready if the additional projects given by professors are completed.
Other: The best thing is that we have practicals five days a week, which helps us gain practical knowledge. There is the biggest fest called Dimensions, which has a huge craze among teenagers. Our college organises many events.

Review of Vinayak Ganesh Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: Most students were offered placements by the college as the exposure was good. The average salary offered ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000, and the percentage of students getting job range from 80-85%. B.Com provides vast exposure to job opportunities in banks, and private sector companies like HDFC, Tata, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities were ample and students would never feel the need to step out of the campus for anything as there was Wi-Fi, classrooms were spacious which well-built infrastructure, and also for the students, a well-maintained. The library was provided on the premises. The canteen was also there, and the prices were very reasonable.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified for the job, even online teaching was of top quality where teachers were making extra efforts for students to get opportunities and explore new potentials. Semester exams were not tough as teachers always guide students before exams on the content to be studied.
Other: I always had a keen interest in the commerce field, and the course being crisp, had helped me to explore the field of commerce at the right depth and provided sufficient knowledge.
