College is good at its price level and faculty members are also very educated and helpful.
Placements: This year, around 70% of students got placed and now other students are trying for off-line campus. In our college, the highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. In our college, Tatva Soft, Req Soft, and TCS are the main recruiting companies. Roles offered are backend developer, security network, etc.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, there are not so many facilities because it is a government college. In the bathroom, geysers are available, so students can use hot water for bathing. There is one library room and one TT room in hostel. The quality of food is average in mess. Sports table and sports room are available in hostel.
Faculty: At Viswakarma College, faculty members are good and helpful. They help students in every project and also help in every type of situation. Faculty members teaching skills are very good. Our college timings start at 10:30 AM and end at 5:15 PM. Semester exam level is not very tough and not very easy. Around 80%-85% of students pass in semester exams.

College was better than what I expected.
Placements: In my college, I don't know about all branches but in my branch, around 55% to 60% of students placements were done in the last year. There were so many companies that came for placement; some examples are Torrent and many others. Also, in 2021-22, the average package was 3 to 4 lacs per year and in 2023-24, the average package was 5 to 7 lacs per year and the highest package was 35 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was nice. There were also labs and Wi-Fi also available. But there in library it was not too nice because in library only books related to engineering were available; some storybooks or inspirational books also want to be available in library, which are not there
And there in the hostel facility was nice; we had a bed, table and chair with an attached balcony and 24/7 water available, but for food it was not nice; in all, the weekend night menu was nice, but on other days not nice.
Faculty: In college, there were some faculty members who were nice, who taught us very nicely and tried to complete their syllabus and teach us with full understanding and attention, but some faculty members were not very nice. In my first semester, my syllabus of that subject was not completed. Because they do not teach us nicely. In college, the exam system was nice and my exam—I've seen that paper—was harder than we had expected.
But we have given our best in the exam.
Other: The college was surrounded by the residential area and garden, malls, and food places, and there was a very nice nature area, like a green area. The college campus was full of trees, which was very nice as a green college. The transportation system was nice because the college was in the center of the city.

The worst college life I have ever imagined.
Placements: Around 10 to 20 percent of students proceed to further study. From the remaining 80 percent, almost 40-50 percent of students get placements ranging from 3 LPA to 10 LPA in my Electrical Engineering branch. The top recruiting companies are L&T, Torrent, etc. An individual has to find internships on their own in various companies.
Infrastructure: As the college is a government engineering college, the facilities available here are barely enough. Wi-Fi is available in only a small area on the campus. The classrooms are good, but in labs, there are very few pieces of equipment available. Many times, we have to use simulators to perform practicals. The library is also not so great; its hours are pathetic. It is open from 11 am to 2 pm and then 3 pm to 5 pm. The hostel facilities are not good at all; the taps are not working properly, and many students do not get hostel accommodation and have to stay in PGs. The food is the only good thing.
Faculty: I have given 3 stars because the faculty here are amazing; they teach so well and are well-qualified. But the curriculum here is the worst because 2 to 3 chapters of the syllabus for the end-semester exam remain untaught due to less time. The exams are conducted by GTU, so we have to follow that accordingly.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in electricity, and that's why I want to do a master's and further research in this field. There are no fests in this college at all. As the campus is on the highway side, the surrounding area is not very crowded.

Life at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College.
Placements: There are approximately 80-95% placements in CE department at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College under Gujarat Technological University. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA in 2024-25. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. There are lots of IT companies that take part in placements.
Infrastructure: There are many Wi-Fi on campus of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College. Hostel facility is very good but the canteen food is of average type. There are lots of events organised for sports and games. Hostel facility is good as compared to other PGs.
Faculty: Good faculty members are there who teach very well. They give their best to complete the syllabus of the curriculum at Gujarat Technological University. In semester exam, mid-semester is 30 marks and the end semester is 70 marks.
Other: The computer engineering course is very good and best for career in IT sector.

Power Electronics Branch's Review in Vishwakarma government engineering college.
Placements: The average placement of our branch is 3 LPA and the minimum package is 2.5 LPA. The highest package given was 4.4 LPA. Recently, only the company started to come to our college like Torrent and other electronics companies. Mindra, Torrent Power, Bharat Electronics Limited.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not too good. There are no labs in working condition, and the facilities are less. The department building is big but not utilized as it should be. There is Wi-Fi available, but the password for students is unknown. Also, the classes are not taken regularly.
Faculty: The curriculum of our branch, Power Electronics, is very good. It is a growing field, and the scope is good. But the students of our branch have no basic knowledge about it; this is the main reason for the low placement record in our branch. The curriculum is nicely designed, but the output of our course in our college is not up to the mark. I think our branch is the best in our college and should be recognized and should be given the best placement because of its importance and growing market.
Other: Because of the growing electric vehicle market and increasing demand for power electronics, I chose this branch. I think the placement of the course should be improved, and also higher-qualified faculty members should be brought in to teach us.

It depends on the selection of courses you choose as B.Tech in Information Technology cutoffs usually go higher. I think for other courses it should not be a problem to get admission in VGEC Ahemdabad.
