Review of Vivekananda College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Recruiting companies don't come to our college to offer any jobs and placements. It is just a bachelor's degree, so a master's degree is necessary for a better career or job. Most of the students from our batch are preparing for PCS and IAS as these courses provide a good base.

Teaching quality and infrastructure are good with a pleasant environment.

Placements: The placement percentage is not that high. The highest salary offered is Rs. 70,000 to 80,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 per month, and the average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 to 50,000 per month. Roles offered in our course are of teachers, professors, engineers, statisticians and many others.

Overall good college and very near to NCR region.

Placements: 70%-80% were placed. The highest package was 4 LPA and the lowest was 2LPA. Top recruiting companies are genpect, HCL, delloite. 50% or more got internship from our course in genpect, ernst and young, bajaj capital, yes bank, tour-ex, third sectors partners and many more.

I love the college because of its best faculty members.

Placements: The placement cell in our college is average. Only one or two companies like Genpact visit the campus every year. The package offered by companies was 1.5 LPA - 5 LPA. Only 5% of the students got placed, not more than that. The job profiles like process associates and management head are offered to students.

Our college has excellent faculty members and really good infrastructure.

Placements: Placements are not that good, being an off-campus college you don't expect much. Only one to two companies visit our college to offer placements or jobs with odd timings, which are not suitable for girls. Placements in our college are just for the namesake. Hence, there is not much to be expected in placements.

I absolutely loved my college life.

Placements: Placements are not very good in this college. One of the main reasons for it is it is an off-campus college, so not many companies visit here for campus placements. For our batch, companies which visited here offered us jobs at call centres and even with timings from evening 5 pm to midnight at 12 pm-1 pm. The majority of students attend for placements, but later after knowing about job timings, almost 90% of them withdrew their names. The salary expected after graduation is obviously less, but ...

I am disappointed in terms of placements and hostel, but there are good teachers, library, etc.

Placements: There are no placements in Vivekananda College (DU), Vivek Vihar. Usually, one or two companies visit here and hire only a few students. One of the reasons for it is that students are interested in further studies after graduating from B.Com (Hons).

Overall, I had an average experience here.

Placements: The placement committee members are not effective in our college. Only one company visits here every year, and it is Genpact, which offers a salary of about Rs. 15,000 per month. There are better opportunities for B.Com (Hons) than B.Com. From all students who get selected in placements, only a few of them join in companies later.

College is awesome and a good place to learn and grow.

Placements: Many students got placed in giant companies. The package offered by the companies was 1.2 LPA to 4 LPA. Many giant companies visited for the campus placement and most of the students got placed in these companies. Most of them got placed in Management and HR field.

Satisfied with the faculty members but not with the placement cell.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is average. It's not that good as compared to the other Delhi University colleges. Only 5% of students are placed not more than that. Average package is around 1-2 Lacs only and the highest is around 4-5 Lacs. They can improve the placements of our college by giving more opportunities to the students and inviting good companies.

Our college provides good infrastructure and supportive faculty members but provides bad placements.

Placements: I haven't attended the college placement as my further goals were different. But from our seniors, I came to know that our college placements are not great. Top company that visited the college was EY. The salary packages offered were also not adequate. Mostly students from our course went for off-campus placements.

Vivekananda College is a good option to consider. Course curriculum is good & designed by DU.

Placements: The college placement is not up to the mark if we compare its placement report with respect to the total number of students. Companies hardly came and many came after final semester got over. Many students including me were not able to grab the opportunity due to this as we were outstation students. I don't know about the current situation but if it is resolved then it's good.

Really good college in terms of everything .

Placements: Around 40% of students get placements, but the value of packages is not really high it is on the moderate side. Accounting and software-related firms usually offer placements. The majority of the students got selected for the trial period as accounting and financial trainees. Mostly B.Com (Hons) economics Hons, and psychology Hons students get placement offers.

I spent a very memorable time in this college.

Placements: Placement was offered from very renowned companies but since I was pursuing CA so I didn't appeared for the same. NIIT was there and they have offered around 5 lacs per annum. Profiles that were offered to our batch was good and apt. Around 80% of the batch were offered placements out of those who were eligible and good enough for it.

Good college for the self-learners.

Placements: There is no placement for the B.A. student. There are some companies for the commerce background students like Genpact, Bajaj Finance, Earnst and Young, Yes Bank etc. Someone with good knowledge and skills can get a job there. There is also a placement cell to help students.

Placements: The placement rate in our course was not too good. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Companies like Genpact, Delloite, HCL, etc., were recruiting students from our course.

I am quite satisfied because of the course curriculum and good faculty.

Placements: The college doesn't provide very good placement opportunities to students as it is an off-campus college, so less number of companies are interested in visiting the campus. No internship opportunities are provided. A few companies visited the campus and recruited less number of students.

I am dissatisfied in terms of placements.

Placements: Though the institute is good, the placements are not up to the mark. The previous year, only one company visited, and that too offered very less salary. It is really very bad on a college's part. Apart from that, internships are not offered, and also leaves are not sanctioned for internships.

It was quite satisfactory to be a part of this college.

Placements: Companies like Ernst and Young and Genpact visited our college for providing job opportunities for students. EY offered the post of an assistant accountant with a salary package of 3.3 LPA. Genpact offered the post related to finance and back end with a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month.
