Q: Where can I get the CUET UG syllabus?
Candidates can download the CUET UG 2025 updated syllabus from official webiste of National Testing Agency (NTA) once released. NTA will release the CUET syllabus 2025 for all subjects at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Candidates can download the CUET subject wise syllabus PDF online. The link to download the CUET UG syllabus will be activated soon.
Q: Is CUET compulsory for taking admission in central university?
Yes, CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is compulsory for admissions to undergraduate programs in most Central Universities in India. It serves as a unified entrance exam for students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses across participating Central Universities. Each university sets its eligibility criteria, but CUET scores are a primary criterion for admission. Exceptions may exist for certain specialised programs or institutions, but for most central universities, CUET is now an essential requirement for UG admissions.
Q: What if CUET domain subjects are different from Board subjects?
If the CUET domain subjects differ from your board exam subjects, it may require extra effort to study topics that are not part of your regular curriculum. You'll need to focus on preparing specifically for those domain subjects through additional resources such as textbooks, online courses, mock tests, and study materials designed for CUET. Creating a separate study plan for CUET-specific subjects can help ensure you cover all necessary topics while managing your board exam preparation. Balancing time and diversifying your study sources is key to success in both.
Q: How is the CUET difficulty level as compared to board exams?
The CUET syllabus largely overlaps with the Class 12 board syllabus, but the MCQ format introduces a new challenge. While board exams focus on descriptive answers, CUET emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management. Candidates must answer multiple questions accurately within a limited time, making speed and precision essential. Additionally, in CUET, there is a negative marking for incorrect answers, which adds pressure to make well-thought-out choices.
To excel in CUET, candidates should practice solving MCQs regularly and attempt mock tests to get familiar with the question pattern. Focusing on clarity of concepts is crucial, as simply cramming rules and concepts will not be sufficient. Candidates should also develop time management strategies by practicing under timed conditions and balancing preparation between CUET and board exams to avoid burnout.
Q: Is CUET UG cutoff announced along with the results?
No, NTA does not release the CUET UG cut off with the CUET UG results. The role of National Testing Agency ends after the declaration of results. CUET UG cut offs are released by the accepting colleges/universities after the cousnelling registration process is over. Only candidates meeting the CUET cut off criteria will be shortlisted for final admission. The CUET UG cut offs are usually released in August.
Q: Which universities can I get with 90-99 percentile in CUET UG?
Candidates securing 90-99 percentile in CUET UG have chances of getting admission into the following universities:
- University of Delhi
- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi
- Banaras Hindu University
- Allahabad University
