The college is affordable to do engineering. Teachers are very helpful.
Placements: The average package depends upon Punjabi University Patiala. Because students are sitting in the university placement cell. The average packages are almost 4 to 6 LPA. Many companies are there for internship opportunities, like Hoping Minds and Qspiders.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also good enough with wifi and lab facilities. Hostel facilities are also available there. This college is mainly for village students, where they can get various courses in affordable ranges. One can get the best education from this campus.
Faculty: Semester exams are averagely not much difficult. Teachers are also of very friendly nature. They are always ready to help you out in every situation. All the teachers are highly educated and hardworking. They always make efforts to provide the best opportunities for their students.
Other: Farewell parties are organized every year for freshers as well as for passing out students. Apart from that, some small functions are also organized, like quizzes and festivals.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members, but college life is good.
Placements: Limited companies visit the campus for recruitment, but if one is talented and focused, then he/she can easily place with college placement cell. The campus crowd of the college is supportive and good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not modern, but environment-friendly. The campus consists of good quality labs. The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. The college crowd is good and supportive. One can live with memorable moments in the college because of this, and sports facilities are limited.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are not that good as expected. The team is of young and inexperienced teachers. Clerical staff is rude, but exceptionally there are some who can help you as well. The course curriculum is same which is followed by the main campus, but it depends on how that is being thought by the faculty, which could be a problem.
Other: Surrounding of the college is not good as there are fields around the college. Living on PG is not recommended. The hostel life is good.

The college is average, if you can pay the fees below the poverty, you can study at free of cost.
Placements: Every year, Infosys came to the main campus for placement, where you can sit in the interview, but only 10 students got selected. They offer a salary range of 3.2 LPA, whereas the lowest salary package was 2.5 LPA. Infosys, Teach Mahindra visited the college. Hardly about 1% of the students got placed. There is a placement cell, but not very useful.
Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi. There are AC labs and has a good infrastructure of the lab. The mechanical labs are good. Food at mess was not good then. The hostel rooms are average, but its so cheap that you have to pay only Rs.2500 for 6 months, but there is no option for AC or cooler facility. Usually, water purifier didn't work here.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are M.Tech qualified. The teachers are average. Book-based teaching is mostly preferred. The labs are just fo the time pass, most of the practical labs don't have the software. In 2nd and 6th month, you get training where you will get the industry exposure, but the college can't provide that. The course curriculum is not very useful in real life.
Other: Some sports activities or techfests has been conducted.

YCOE is the worst college to do your graduation.
Placements: It is a regional campus of Punjab University, so we have to go to Patiala for placement process. The major hiring companies are Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Nagarro, etc. Although we get an opportunity to sit in all these companies, only 12 students got placed from my batch of 120 students. This is because of the partial behaviour of the main campus placement officers. I would rate 5/10 for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the last thing I want to talk about. Our campus didn't invest a single rupee on infrastructure. It just got worse in my 4 years course. There is a useless Wi-Fi facility with no speed, unhygienic washrooms, unserviced water coolers and a lot more. Hostels are even a bigger mess. Only a single canteen which is not good at all and it even can't handle 5 students at a time, it is that small. I would rate 3/10 for infrastructure.
Faculty: As the course curriculum is provided by the Punjab university itself, I must say it is not bad at all. But, talking about faculty, they were not that good. 90% of the faculty were contract based who are M.Tech freshers and have just started their career. There were teachers who are very good, no doubt on that, but most of them seem like students like us. I would rate 5/10 for faculty.
Other: There was only a single event conducted during my college tenure, and that was also not that good. There were two parties, that's it. Also, our college was not good at extracurricular activities.

Other: This college is nice. It has well experienced faculty members. Infrastructure is good in the college. But there is a lack of hostel facility for the students especially for girls. There are lots of extracurricular activities to participate. Green and clean environment. Some departments are not up to date though. But my department has a new building. Since it is a govt. organization, so the employees are not usually nice or helpful or friendly. Only employees and hostel facility are the major shortcoming of this institute.

Other: I study in CS and we have the best of renowned and dedicated faculty. The whole curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to students to choose among interdisciplinary subjects as per one’s personal interests and choices. Its huge 550 acres of green campus has two lakes and hills and a wide range of forest area surrounding the campus. The campus provides an awesome range of facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness, on par with the best in the world, for a meagre fee as the institute is government run.
