Panjab University Course Admissions 2025: Registration, Eligibility, Last Date & Fees

 For a few courses, such as MA, BA, MLib, etc., admissions are completely based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. The eligibility requirements for BCom programme at Punjab University might differ according to candidate type. For general category students, the lowest percentage in class 12th is 50%. PU-CET (PG) is an entrance exam conducted by Panjab University Chandigarh for admission to its various post-graduate courses. PU-CET (PG) syllabus includes all the important topics of subjects that are relevant for business and general aptitude. Panjab University offers LLM as one year course as well as two year course. The syllabus for both is different, although both the courses contain similar subjects. Punjab University is providing total 50 seats for LLM of one year course. Which consists of 42 Indian + 4 NRI + 2 Foreign National students. For Department of Laws, Panjab University LLM admissions, valid PUCET PG scores are considered. Candidates seeking admission to BSc at Panjab University are required to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination with at least 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam and passing marks in English.

Student must have out of the three elective subjects offered by him/ her (excepting Anthropology) passed at least two Science subjects. Provided that a student shall be eligible to opt the subject of:

• CS, if he/ she has passed Class 12 with Physics, Commerce/ Economics/ Mathematics and Computer-related subjects such as CS/ IT etc. as one of the elective or optional subjects.
• Biochemistry, if he/ she has passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology

Panjab University follows a multi-step admission process that aspirants must follow to get into the university. Starting with the application process, students are required to go through the course-specific selection rounds (if applicable). A step-by-step process of admission including the application process is as follows:

• Step 1: Apply for MBA on the official website of Panjab University. The application fee is INR 3,250 at UBS and INR 2,175 (PU MET) for General category candidates. 
• Step 2: For admission to MBA, candidates are required to appear for the national-level CAT or entrance conducted by the university.
• Step 3: After the application, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website (with the names of the shortlisted students) of the university. Those who have their names must fill in the admission form.
• Step 4: Post merit list release, interested candidates can submit the fee and confirm their admission.

Students interested in getting into Panjab University must submit the online application form for all UG and PG courses as per their preferred course. Panjab University application process is completely conducted in online mode. The PU application form for admission to UG and PG programmes is released in April, in general. The answer is both yes and no. admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all the MBA offering institutes of PU. While for an Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CATor PU METexams, respectively. Students who wish to get into the specialisations or courses offered by UIAMS are required to appear for PU MET exam and those who wish to get into UBS are required to have a valid score in CAT exam.

Yes, Punjab University does offer Scholarships for ST/SC category. The scholarship are offered keeping the following criteria in consideration:

• Those Students belonging to OBCs so specified in relation to the state/Union Terrritory to which the applicant actually belongs, i.e. is permanently settled, who have passed the Matriculation
• Students who have secured minimum 50% or equivalent grade
• Students belonging to Scheduled Caste and special grants to girls belonging to Scheduled Castes.

Punjab University MBA curriculum is divided into semester pattern across four-semesters. In the first year of the programme, students are required to study foundational subjects while in the second year, they are required to select electives and do a major project. Panjab University NEET Cutoff 2024 was released for the last round, on the basis of students' performance in the NEET UG exam. As per the cutoff list, the last-round closing rank for the General All India category candidates was closed at 778 for MBBS. For the OBC AI category candidates, the last-round closing rank was 1754.
