NIFT releases Studio Test and Interview Dates for Artisans Admissions 2020

National Institute of Fashion Technology has released studio test and interview dates for BDes course admissions 2020 offered to artisans/ children of artisans.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released studio test and interview dates for shortlisting aspirants for admissions under the Artisans/ Children of Artisans category. NIFT Artisans' admission rounds are scheduled to be on September 26, 2020.

The Studio Test and Interview round for NIFT admissions 2020 under the Artisans/ Children of Artisans category is scheduled to be held across NIFT campuses located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Srinagar, and Hyderabad.

Candidates are eligible to apply for admission under the Artisans/ Children of Artisans category in Bachelor of Design (BDes) course offered at NIFT campuses if any one of their parents works at the Development Commissioner (Handicraft) or Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles or State Government. Apart from this, candidates should have cleared Class 12 from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/ State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. The candidate needs to be a maximum of 23 years of age as on June 1, 2020, to be eligible for NIFT admissions under this category.

The weightage allocated to Studio Test for NIFT admissions 2020 would be 40 marks whereas the weightage for the interview round will be 20 marks. The remaining weightage will be allocated to the verification of documents and eligibility criteria.
