NIIFT Entrance Exam 2018 Counselling Process
NIIFT counselling
After the final results for NIIFT entrance exam are out, candidates are allotted seats in their respective courses on the basis of counselling. The official website informs, “Admission to a programme is based strictly on merit and the seats in the programme and center would be offered as per the merit during counselling.”
NIIFT entrance exam counselling for the upcoming academic session is likely to be held in June 2018. All qualifying candidates need to attend the counselling session at NIIFT Mohali as per the prescribed date and time.
At the NIIFT entrance exam 2018 counselling session, candidates need to carry all educational and other prescribed documents such as:

2-4 passport size photographs |
During the counselling, all documents of candidates will be verified. Thereafter, candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses and centres. Seats available at different NIIFT campuses are as follows:

After a seat is allotted to a candidate, he/ she then needs to deposit NIIFT admission fee through bank demand draft within the stipulated time.
It may be noted that candidature of any applicant who fails to attend NIIFT counselling 2018 or deposit admission fee at the prescribed date and time will be cancelled, informs the official website. However, if a candidate reports late (than the prescribed date and time) at the counselling session, his/ her admission will be considered against the seats that are available at that point of time in various programmes offered at NIIFT campuses.
Note: NIIFT will release a common merit list for general and reserved category candidates. The official website states, “In first and second counselling, counselling for 85% of seats for Punjab residence and 15% of seats for outside the Punjab shall be taken up simultaneously, however, reserved category candidates shall be considered in General category first before being considered in respective category.”
