NIFT 2024 application to open soon; check here eligibility criteria for B.Des and M.Des courses

The participating colleges of NIFT offer B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses. Candidates applying to any of these programs must meet the eligibility criteria for that program, or else they will not be considered for admission. Check here the program-wise eligibility.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is expected to open the application form for NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2024. The application will open online at niftadmissions.in. The NIFT application is for admission to the B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses. The institute will also release the NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria for these programs. 

It is mandatory for candidates to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute. If the candidate fakes their eligibility or applies for admission despite not meeting the eligibility conditions, he or she could be disqualified at any stage of the admission process.

Also, note that the original documents of the candidate will be verified at the time of NIFT 2024 counseling.

The NIFT eligibility criteria 2024 will cover parameters like academic qualification, age limit, nationality, and number of attempts.

NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria for the B.Des program

Program	B.Des
Age	The candidate should be less than 24 years as of 1st August of the admission year. In case of SC, ST, and PwD candidates, 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit applies.
Academic Eligibility	10+2 exam from any recognized institute. OR Cleared Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR Obtained a 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. OR Passed any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 system OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate

NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria for the M.Des program

Parameter	M.Des program
Age limit	There is no age bar.
Academic Qualification	Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
