With the colleges and universities closed across the country, Online education has become the need of the hour. Talking about these courses, Professor Kabeer Jasuja, Associate Dean, Undergraduate Studies, IIT Gandhinagar said that "the institute has taken two approaches to impart online learning. The institute has selected 180 courses to help students from these platforms. There are 85 courses for Undergraduate students and 95 courses for Post Graduate students. These all courses are pre-approved and students can choose any course from this list and can earn up to 16 credits at IIT Gandhinagar.
In the second approach, the institute will offer seven courses that would be taught by the institute faculty online. A total of 155 students have registered for at least one course from the set of online courses offered by IIT Gandhinagar faculty, he added.
