DU Admission 2020 delayed further; check details here
The DU admission 2020 process was not started on Monday and is expected to be delayed further. Earlier, as per some media reports, the admission was slated to begin from June 8.
Students who are seeking admission in Delhi University will have to wait little longer as the tentative admission schedule which the varsity had shared with its statutory bodies, which stated that the admission process may begin from Monday, has been delayed further.
Earlier, as per the media reports, the registration process for Delhi University Admissions 2020 to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), MPhil, and PhD courses was tentatively scheduled between June 8 and June 30. Admissions for the first cut-off list for UG courses were scheduled between August 11 and August 14. This essentially meant that the registration portal would have opened on Monday.
However, a standing committee meeting of the academic council, slated to be held on May 29 and approve the schedule as well as other decisions, was cancelled. Since the meeting was not held so far, several DU officials felt that the dates are likely to be pushed further and nothing can be “conclusively.”
Arun Kumar Attree, the member of the standing committee, said the admission process was not started on Monday as the standing committee meeting was not held. No information regarding the meeting has been given until now. However, it is expected that the registration process will start in around 10 days tentatively. The registration will be in two phases: first, students can register for admission and during the second phase, they can enter their marks. A ten-day window will be given to students after CBSE results are declared and the cut-off is likely to come a week after that.”
Meanwhile, the varsity has introduced ‘DU Admission Help Desk’ to solve the admission related queries of the students. Students seeking admission in Delhi University can contact the University’s admission help desk and get their admission queries resolved over the phone or email.
