GATE IIT MTech Cutoff 2023 (OUT): Check Here Category Wise, Get Previous Years' cut off
GATE IIT MTech Cutoff: IITs are releasing their GATE cutoff for IIT Mtech course admission. Candidates can check the cutoffs on this page below. IITs release the GATE cutoff ranks category-wise. The cutoff ranks denote the last rank up to which admission has been granted in the IITs in each MTech course offered by them. All IITs offer MTech seats to GATE-qualified candidates via Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
Note while COAP is for MTech admission via GATE, CCMT is for admission to MTech programmes offered by NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs. State and private universities will conduct their own counselling based on GATE 2023 result.

GATE 2020 was conducted by IIT Delhi on February 1, 2, 8, and 9. The exam was held for 25 papers with Biotechnology as the new entrant. The official notification along with GATE 2020 exam dates was released by the institute.
Q: What is the difference between the GATE qualifying and admission cutoffs?
Q: Who will decide the cutoff for GATE 2025?
The exam-conducting authority (IIT Roorkee) will decide the GATE cutoff 2025. It is conducted across the country jointly by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and the Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), on a rotational basis on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB-GATE), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD), Government of India. The GATE cutoff will be released with the official result. Candidates who clear the GATE 2025 cutoff marks will be eligible for the counselling procedure. Candidates will be able to check their marks on the official website. A direct link will also be provided on our webpage once it is released. As we know, the cutoff for the GATE exam will be based on the number of students who appear in the examination, the difficulty level of the exam, the average marks scored by the maximum number of candidates, etc. Read more about the GATE 2025 Cutoff: https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-cutoff.
Q: What is the cutoff for B.Tech at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology for other than general categories?
The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 1633 for OBC, 851 for SC, 257 for ST, 693 for EWS, 156 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
Q: Will the GATE cutoff 2025 remain the same as the previous year?
The authority revises the GATE cutoff every year. The GATE 2025 cutoff will be released along with the result. Although the cutoff might remain the same for two consecutive years, the conducting IIT releases a revised cutoff every year. An aspirant cannot qualify for the exam on the basis of the previous year's GATE cutoff. The number of applicants for the GATE exam varies every year. Therefore, on average, around one million students register for the exam. These students came from different educational backgrounds, like engineering, Science, and mathematics. Basically, GATE is a gateway for those candidates who want to take admission into several postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and Science fields offered by prestigious institutes, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other universities across the country. Also secures employment in public sector undertakings that recruit candidates based on their GATE score. Read More about the GATE 2025 Exam Cutoff: https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-cutoff.
Q: What is the JEE Advanced cut off for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology?
For 2022, cut off was 61 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 305 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
