IIITs admission
To get admission to the IIITs across India, candidates have to qualify the JEE Main. Students will also need to score marks equal to or more than JEE Main cutoffs to gain entry to IIITs. Candidates must know JEE Main cutoff for top IIITs to know which college they will get admission based on their ranks. Factors such as difficulty level of JEE Main, total number of applicants, total number of seats available, etc, are taken into consideration while preparing the IIIT JEE Main cutoff for top engineering institutes.
Prof Madhav Rao said, “Candidates who want to get admission to IIITs need to go through a common admission process. To get into an IIIT, one has to clear IIT JEE Main exam, followed by JEE Advanced, but IIIT Bangalore, IIIT Delhi and IIIT Hyderabad have different kind of admission system. At IIIT Bangalore, we consider only JEE Main rank, JEE Advanced is not required and the admission is totally merit-based.”
