IIITB begins admissions process for integrated MTech course
The five-year integrated MTech course offers dual degrees in BTech and MTech, along with dual specialisations in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB), has invited applications for its integrated MTech (iMTech) course from September 7, 2021. The five-year integrated course offers dual degrees in B.Tech and MTech to the students, upon successful completion of the course. Eligible students with a first division in Class 12 (or equivalent) with mathematics subject and good JEE Main NTA rank may apply for the course at https://www.iiitb.ac.in/courses/integrated-mtech.
Applications for IIITB integrated MTech course closes on October 4
The last date to apply for the IIITB’s iMTech course is October 4, 2021. iMTech is a 10-semester course offering specialisations in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AIML), theory and systems for computing and data (TSCD), networking and communication (NC), very large-scale integration systems (VLSI systems), and digital society (DT). The course also provides dual specialisations for both computer science and engineering (CSE) and electronics & communications engineering (ECE) students.
100% tuition fee waiver for JEE Main top rankers
Top rankers of JEE Main can have 100 per cent of their tuition fee waived through the IIITB’s Utkarsha scholarship. To avail of the scholarship, the student should have an all India rank between 1-999 and the scholarship will be given at most to five students.
Professor Debabrata Das, Director, IIITB, said, “IIITB’s five-year integrated MTech course is designed and structured in an optimum way that encourages a student to learn and innovate with emerging technologies. The iMTech course inculcates a strong research and entrepreneurial mindset among students to enable them to contribute to engineering excellence in their chosen fields.”
He said, “One unique advantage of joining IIITB's integrated programme is that students get both BTech and MTech in a combined duration of five years as opposed to spending four years to complete BTech and another two years to do MTech separately. Students already weary of writing multiple rounds of JEE would be relieved that they do not have to write GATE exam to get admission into a masters programme later on either.”
