The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore), through its COMET Foundation, has announced the launch of a comprehensive certificate program in Future Wireless Communications. This program is specifically designed to equip participants with the essential skills and advanced knowledge required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of wireless communication. A key focus of the program is on 5G-NR (New Radio) systems, enabling participants to gain a deep understanding of next-generation wireless technologies.

The curriculum is meticulously structured to provide a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. One of the highlights of the program is the hands-on experience offered through the state-of-the-art IIIT-B COMET Foundation Testbed. This facility allows participants to engage directly with wireless system design and testing, ensuring they acquire real-world expertise in developing and deploying cutting-edge communication systems.

Additionally, the program emphasizes a thorough understanding of 5G-NR wireless communication standards as outlined by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). By aligning the training with globally recognized standards, the program ensures that participants are industry-ready and well-prepared to contribute to advancements in wireless communication technologies.

Who are eligible for Future Wireless Communication Certification?

Students who have a diploma, BSc, or BTech in science or engineering, including those in their final year with a No Objection Certificate (NOC), are eligible to apply for the program. Eligible participants can also benefit from a scholarship of INR 15,000 per month. The selection process for the program includes an offline test conducted at the institute. Students meeting the minimum criteria can enroll by paying the program fee. Scholarships will be awarded upon successful completion of Modules 1 and 2, the institute stated.
