IIT Bombay MTech admission 2023 is entrance-based. Candidates are required to qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) followed by COAP Counselling. The institute also conducts an entrance test followed by an interview for shortlisting candidates for MTech course. IIT Bombay MTech course is offered for a duration of two years in 39 specialisations under 18 departments. It is necessary that each aspirant clear the entrance test with a valid rank. Moreover, the application process is online (iitb.ac.in) for the IIT Bombay MTech course.

An integrated course of MTech + PhD in various disciplines is also offered by the institute. The students who are admitted to MTech course at IIT Bombay can convert themselves to the Dual Degree (MTech.+ PhD) programme after the first stage of evaluation of the masters' dissertation.

IIT Bombay MTech Admission Process

IIT Bombay admission process for MTech is same as last year. There is no change in the selection criteria and admission process. In 2023, the highest closing IIT Bombay cutoff was 325 for MTech Geoinformatics and  Natural Resources Engineering While, lowest was 750 for Computer Science Engineering for All India Category. The institute provides direct admission offers based on GATE score for TA Category. IIT Bombay also conducts an entrance test followed by an interview based on the GATE score for TA and TAP Category.
