IIT Kanpur to offer free online Python courses

IIT Kanpur will offer free online Python courses to universities across the globe during the pandemic of coronavirus. Over the last six years, IIT Kanpur has designed an innovative and exclusive technology named Prutor which makes use of thousands of hours of teachers and students. It has already been implemented by IIT Goa, IIT Mumbai, IIT Madras and other leading institutions to teach coding. Prutor.ai, designed by Dr. Amey at IIT Kanpur, provides many online courses. According to Dr Amey, any student above Class 8 can learn programming by means of Prutor.

Interested educational institutions can sign up through an online portal (https://prutor.ai/) and will have free access through July 31, 2020 for any number of students. On March 14, after the announcement of Dr. Amey decision, this is a good chance for anyone to see the magnificent world of Python. During this duration, he has also made this online course on advanced Python accessible for free. Any university and college in the world which cannot take physical classes anymore on account of the coronavirus pandemic can get the online content and access to Prutor free by means of IIT Kanpur.

According to Dr Amey, only the top Indian universities are ready to bring online learning, but many others do not have the requisite setup to run the courses on their own. According to IIT Kanpur, Dr. Amey and Dr. Sandeep Shukla are effectively teaching thousands of engineering students through Prutor.
