JEE Main 2020 exam day 2; NTA to conduct Paper 1 in two shifts
The second day of JEE Main BTech (paper 1) is being held today in two shifts, first, between 9 am and 12 noon, and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm. Read detailed information below.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main 2020 BTech (Paper 1) April/September session entrance exam on September 3 in two shifts. This year there was a slight change in the exam timings. The morning session for JEE Main paper 1 (BTech) is being held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while the afternoon shift will be conducted from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, students appearing for the examinaton must read JEE Main 2020 exam day instructions and guidelines released by NTA. Students must understand them thoroughly, to keep themselves safe. Students are required to download JEE Main 2020 admit card as it is an important document required inside the examination hall. They must also download self-declaration undertaking form JEE Main 2020 which is also a part of JEE Main 2020 Admit card.

JEE Main 2020: Things students must carry
Students taking the exam must keep a check on these below important documents to the JEE Main 2020 exam centre:
- JEE Main self undertaking form to notify health status and travel history
- JEE Main admit card 2020
- One passport size photograph
- A valid Photo ID Proof in original such as a PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph), etc
- Transparent ball point pen

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is taking strict precautionary measures to conduct the JEE Main 2020 April/September session entrance exam during the COVID-19 pandemic which includes staggered entry and assuring the safety of students from infection.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main entrance examination is conducted twice a year by NTA every year in two sessions, January and April. The exam is a gateway to take admission to IITs/NITs. This years’ JEE Main April session was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after so many arguments, debates, and protests all over, finally the exam is being held from September 1 to 6.
