JEE Main 2020: NTA to announce new dates later; admit card after April 15
NTA has released a notification regarding the postponement of the JEE Main 2020 April session on March 31. Read more details below.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on March 31 has announced that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main 2020 for April session is proposed to be held in the last week of May this year and JEE Main admit card will be made available for download after April 15.

The notification released by Director General NTA stated that the final schedule for JEE Main 2020 will be confirmed after monitoring the situation in the coming weeks and JEE Main admit card for the April session examination will be issued after April 15, based on the situation.
On March 18, 2020, NTA had issued a notification and announced that the JEE Main 2020 April examination has been postponed which was scheduled to be held on April 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11 due to the COVID-19 epidemic in the country.
NTA will update students on the latest developments regarding JEE Main 2020 exam dates which are yet to be announced. JEE Main 2020 April exam will be held for three papers i.e Paper-1 (BTech degree courses), Paper-2 (BArch degree) and Paper-3 (BPlanning course). The forenoon session will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the afternoon session will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Through JEE Main entrance exam, students will be able to get admission to BE/BTech, BPlan and BArch degree courses at the various IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) across India. Only the top 2.5 lakh rank holders in JEE Main 2020 (January+April sessions) will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced for admission to IITs in India.
Many other important engineering exams such as MHT CET, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, KCET, KEAM, MET, UPSEE and AP EAMCET have also been postponed to avoid the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
