JEE Main 2020 Postponed; Exam to be held from September 1 to 6

Human Resource Minister (HRD) Minister, DR Ramesh Pokhriyal has shared through a tweet that JEE Main 2020 has been postponed. A sigh of relief for JEE aspirants who were continuously demanding the postponement due to health risks as cases continue to rise.
The JEE Main 2020 exam will now be held from September 01 to 06, 2020 in online mode. The decision has been taken after the authorities have received several requests from students via social media and emails demanding the postponement or cancellation of the JEE Main 2020 exam.

HRD Minister had earlier instructed a committee consisting of NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi along with the other experts to look into the prevailing situation and submit their decision latest by today.
After the tweet by HRD Minister on July 01, 2020, many aspirants have thanked him on social media and have asked the authority to take the final decision wisely keeping health and safety at first.
Earlier, The National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the exam due to the lockdown and COVID-19 outbreak in the country. The JEE Main 2020 was scheduled to be held from July 18 to 23 in the computer-based test. The admit card of JEE Main 2020 was to be issued 15 days prior to the entrance test. The authority also reopened the JEE Main application form for all the candidates from May 19 to 24, 2020.
JEE Main is the gateway exam for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs across India. Qualified candidates in JEE Main, will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to the IITs. JEE Advanced 2020 is scheduled to be held on September 27, 2020.
