The number of questions to be asked in JEE Main 2021 has been increased to 90 questions (30 questions each in physics, chemistry and mathematics). Read further to know more.

The Education Ministry has clarified that the syllabus of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) Mains 2021 and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, (NEET) 2021 will remain unchanged for this year. However, unlike last year, the candidates will be given more options for the questions asked in JEE Mains 2021 and NEET Exam 2021 , the Education Ministry said.

The Press Information Bureau released a short notice, a day after Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during a live interaction with Kendriya Vidyalaya students, said that the JEE Main, NEET 2021 and other competitive exams will be held based on the CBSE reduced syllabus.

With this new notification, it is now clear to students that the JEE Main 2021 syllabus will remain the same as last year. There will be no changes in the topics. However, the number of questions to be asked in JEE Main 2021 has been increased to 90 questions (30 questions each in physics, chemistry and mathematics).

The JEE Main 2021 exam is scheduled to be held from February 23 to 26 in online mode. JEE Main 2021 exam is likely to be held in multiple sessions starting from February 2021. JEE Main is the most important exam for those who are seeking admission into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs across India and is the first step of eligibility for admission to IITs.

The students appearing in JEE Main 2021 must note that will be given a choice to answer 75 questions (25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) out of 90 questions (30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). Last year, a total of 75 questions were asked (25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), all of which had to be answered by the candidates.
