In a move to motivate the ongoing process of globalizing higher education at KIIT- Orissa (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology), the institute has joined hands with the IAU (International Association of Universities) recently. This makes KIIT the first Indian institute to get into a pact with IAU.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder-KIIT & KISS and Ms. Eva Egron-Polak, Executive Director, International Universities Bureau and Secretary General to IAU. The agreement was inked in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Mirzosharif A. Jalovol – Ambassador of Tajikistan to India and Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar- KIIT.

Established in 1950, IAU is an association that houses more than 650 institutes of higher education and other organizations from 130 countries. Its main aim is to enhance the cooperation on higher education, across the globe. If the latest facts are to be believed, IAU is presently dealing with a wide variety of national, international and regional institutes offering higher education. These member institutes are supported with all possible services to internationalize the higher education.

As per reports, KIIT has continued to be a member of IAU from past 8 years and is now looking forward to get into a pact with the association, further enhancing the process of globalizing higher education.
