Abhilasha Singh: How my college shaped my career & personality

ACEIT

Since childhood, I was inclined towards technology. That’s why I chose Science-Maths after my SSC. With it, I prepared for IIT-JEE from Resonance, Kota. I didn’t clear the cut-off of JEE Main. Then, I submitted my JEE Main score in REAP. After the counselling process, I got admission in BTech at Arya College of Engineering and IT, Jaipur (ACEIT) in my dream branch Computer Science. ACEIT is one of the best colleges in Rajasthan for CS and IT streams.

I was just carbon; ACEIT organised me and made me a diamond. I’m currently in the fourth year. In an era when even after pursuing such a reputed degree like BTech, a number of people are unable to get good jobs and students are not even sure if they’ll get placed or not, I am earning while studying since the second semester. I’ve done 10+ internships till now. Currently, in this crucial year, I’m busy in giving interviews, both inside and outside my college and I’m absolutely sure that I’ll be placed in a good company with a handsome package. This is all because of my college. I was just a girl with big dreams in her small eyes, but my college has made me what I’m today. ACEIT provides all the facilities for education. You don’t need to go outside for relevant courses. My college has not only shaped my career but has shaped my personality as well, with the guidance of mentors and soft skill classes. I’ve developed an amazingly perfect personality due to my college’s effort.

I’m a motorcycle rider at such a young age. I do rally rides as well. My college motivated me and helped me pave my way to do so.

My college life is absolutely amazing. The environment of my college is also up to the mark.

My learning from my internships is that there are a number of internships and jobs in the market. The challenge is that one should have the relevant skill set and should be hard working.

I have absolutely chosen the right career for myself.

I wasted my first semester doing nothing. I learned from it and worked hard as well as smart from the second semester onwards.

My tip on career selection is that you should just pursue the field you like and do hard work in it. You’ll surely be successful.

I’d like to thank ACEIT for everything.
