NTA to conduct JEE Main 2020 BE/BTech Exams from today

NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 exam from today, September 2, 2020. The morning shift will begin from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while the afternoon shift will start from 3.00 pm to 6:00 pm.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 Paper 1 (BE/BTech) day one exam today across 660 centres. The exam will be conducted in two shifts, morning shift will begin from 9 am to 12 pm while the second shift to begin from 3 pm to 6 pm. JEE Main Paper 2 entrance examination for BArch and BPlan was conducted on Tuesday i.e. September 1.

Amid this COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that students appearing for the examinaton must keep a check on JEE Main 2020 exam day instructions and guidelines released by NTA and understand them thoroughly, the shift allotted to the, important dates/slots, course and venue of the examination centre as indicated in their JEE Main 2020 admit card. They must also download self-declaration undertaking form JEE Main 2020 which is also a part of JEE Main 2020 Admit card.

The NTA is taking care of all the COVID-19 safety measures at the JEE Main 2020 exam centres,  including sanitization of examination halls, social distancing, phased entry, frisking from a distance, checking of body temperature, and the use of hand sanitizer.

They have also made an arrangement of 10 lakh masks for students/staff, 10 lakh pairs of gloves, 1,300 infrared thermometer guns to examine body temperature of candidates appearing for the exam, 6,600 litres of hand sanitizer and an equal amount of disinfectant liquid, 6,600 sponges, 3,300 spray bottles and 3,300 cleaning staff.

JEE Main 2020: Important things to carry

Students appearing for the entrance examination must carry the the following documents to the JEE Main 2020 exam centre:

  • Duly filled JEE Main self undertaking form regarding health status and travel history
  • JEE Main admit card 2020 (a clear preferably colour printout on A4 size paper)
  • One passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the JEE Main application form)
  • A valid Photo ID Proof in original such as a PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph), etc
  • Transparent ball point pen
  • Mask and hand sanitizer

  • Transparent water bottle (if required)

The JEE Main entrance examination is conducted twice a year by NTA for the candidates seeking admission to IITs/NITs. This years’ April session was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after so many arguments, debates, petitions in the Supreme Court, and protest all over, the exam is being held from September 1 to 6.

Md 17/10/20 Report Abuse I got 89.1102368 percentile according to OBC-NCL and 35398rank in OBC-NCL and 117490in CRL. I don't have OBC- NCL certificate but I have GEN-EWS certificate will I get seat? And?
