The 57th Inter IIT Students Sports Meet concluded at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, celebrating a week of sportsmanship, unity, and excellence. The event featured competitions in basketball, cricket, hockey, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball for both men and women. The closing ceremony was graced by Prof. Pratik Sen, Dean of Students Affairs and Chairperson of the Inter-IIT Meet 2024.
Inter IIT Sports Meet Winners
IIT BHU secured the men’s basketball title, with Ayush Rai honoured as the Most Valuable Player (MVP), while IIT Bombay claimed victory in the women’s category, with Muskan Jain receiving the MVP award. Prof. Indra Sekhar Sen from IIT Kanpur presented the basketball awards. IIT Bombay won the men’s cricket title, with Sarthak Khosla from IIT BHU named MVP, while IIT Delhi triumphed in hockey, with Harshit Chowdhary earning the MVP honour.
In table tennis, IIT Madras secured the first position in the men’s category, with Dhruv from IIT Kanpur named the MVP. In the women’s category, IIT Jodhpur claimed the top spot, with Kanmani Rao from IIT Jodhpur awarded the MVP. In volleyball, IIT BHU emerged as champions in the men’s category, with Saurav Lamba from IIT BHU declared the MVP. In the women’s category, IIT Bombay claimed the top honours, with Misumba from IIT Bombay recognized as the MVP.
IIT Madras won in the women’s general championship, with IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur securing second and third places. In the men’s general championship, IIT Delhi claimed the top spot, followed by IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay. Overall, IIT Bombay emerged as the winner of the general championship.
