Additionally, the demand for specific courses and colleges is also expected to influence the cutoff. To ensure fair allotment, the authorities will consider multiple factors related to the entrance examination when preparing the CG PET cutoff.

CG PET cutoff is prepared after checking various factors related to the entrance exam and admission process. Some of the important factors that the authorities will consider while preparing the cutoff of CG PET are - the difficulty level of the entrance exam, previous years' cutoff trends, total number of candidates who appeared and qualified the exam, total number of candidates applying for the course and college, etc. Candidates are advised to know that the CG PET cutoff is one of the factors that will affect the admissions, but it is not the only determining factor. 

The authorities will determine the qualifying marks that will be required for admissions through CG PET. It is to be noted that the CG PET qualifying marks will be different for every category. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates from the General category are required to have an aggregate marks of 45% in 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination to apply for CG PET. On the other hand, Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Female) candidates will be required to have secured minimum 40% marks. The authorities are expected to release the detailed CG PET reservation criteria.

The authorities will prepare and release the CG PET cutoff. Through the cutoff of CG PET, the candidates will be able to check the minimum scores that will be required for higher chances of admission. It is to be noted that the CG PET cutoff will differ each year since there are many factors that involved while preparing it. The authorities will prepare separate cutoffs for CG PET and JEE Main candidates. 

The authorities of CPEB will conduct three rounds of CG PET counselling. First, two general rounds of CG PET counselling will be held and then a spot round will be conducted. The authorities announce the details regarding the CG PET counselling process online. Fresh registrations and choice filling will be open for every round of counselling. The authorities will announce separate CG PET seat allotment results for every round.

CG PET counselling process will be held online for all qualified candidates. To be registered for the counselling process, the candidates will have to click on the registration link and provide their basic details such as CG PET/JEE Main roll number, domicile, date of birth, etc. After registration, the candidates will have to fill out their personal, academic and contact details and upload their scanned photograph and signature. The counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card and the choice of colleges and courses has to be done in the order of preference. 

CG PET seat allotment result will be declared online. Candidates will be able to access the CG PET seat allotment results separately for every round. To download the seat allotment result, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. No other mode will be used by the authorities to declare the seat allotment result. After checking their seat allotment status, the candidates will be able to download their seat allotment letter.
