MET 2025 exam pattern will be prepared and released online at manipal.edu. Through the MET exam pattern 2025, the candidates will be able to check the information on how the examination will be conducted by the authorities. Q:   What is the level of MET?

A:

Since MET is one of the popularly picked private engineering entrance exams, the difficulty level of MET is quite high. However, the candidates who have qualified 12th standard examination will be able to attempt the examination if they study a bit more from the official syllabus. The syllabus will be similar to the 12th standard syllabus. The candidates will be assessed on their knowledge in various topics in Physics Chemistry Mathematics and English.

Q:   Will MET be held online?

A:

The authorities will conduct MET online i.e., as a computer-based test. The candidates will have to attempt the examination in 2 hours. While attempting the examination, the candidates will have to attempt multiple-choice questions and numerical answer type questions. The total number of questions to be attempted in the examination is 60.

Q:   Can I attempt MET in Hindi?

A:

No, The candidates will not be able to attempt MET in Hindi. The candidates will not have the option to choose their language for the examination. MET will be held in English and the question booklet will be available in the same. In case of any problems, the candidates are advised to contact the invigilators at the examination center. The candidates are advised to be prepared to attempt the entrance examination in English.

Q:   What is the MET exam pattern?

A:

MET exam pattern will be prepared and released by the authorities of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The pattern will consitute the details regarding how the entrance examination is conducted by the authorities. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to obtain information about important details related to the entrance examination. MET is held as a computer-based test at various centres. During the 2 hour examination, the candidates will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. One mark will be allotted for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions but for MCQs, one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of MET?

A:

The official marking scheme of MET will be prepared and released by the authorities. The details regarding the marking scheme is given below.

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) - 4 marks will be allotted to every correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. 
  • Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT) Questions - 4 marks will be allotted to every correct answer. There is no negative marking.

Q:   What is the division of questions in the MET paper?

A:

The total number of questions to be answered in the MET paper is 60. Candidates will have to attempt two types of questions in the paper - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. In the Mathematics section, the candidates will have to answer 15 MCQ and 5 NAT questions. For the Physics and Chemistry section, there are 10 MCQs and 5 NAT questions. Finally, for the English section, there were a total of 10 MCQs.

Q:   What are the sections in the MET exam pattern?

A:

As per the MET exam pattern, the question paper will be divided into sections. The four sections of MET question paper are - Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English. The questions of all sections have to be attempted for the candidates to have a higher chance of securing the scores that they need for admissions. The total duration to attempt all sections of MET is 2 hours and no extra time will be provided. Candidates will be allowed to skip sections and later come back to the question to attempt it. However, it should be done within the allotted duration of the exam.

MET 2025 Syllabus

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will release the MET 2025 syllabus online. The list of subjects, topics and units to be studied for the entrance exam will be released through the MET syllabus 2025. As per the MET syllabus, the topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English have to be prepared for the exam. By being familiar with the syllabus, the candidates will be able to prepare their study plan for the upcoming examination.

Q:   Is the MET syllabus similar to the 12th standard syllabus?

A:

Yes, the MET syllabus is similar to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying/board examination. Since the entrance examination is prepared to assess the candidate's knowledge in Physics Chemistry Mathematics and English the topics to be studied will be the ones that the candidates have already studied in their 11th and 12th standard. Therefore, the candidates will also be able to simultaneously prepare for their 12th standard qualifying/board examination and MET.

A:

As per the official MET exam pattern, the authorities will conduct the examination for 2 hours.
