Q:   What is the in hand salary of the UP VDO post?

A:

The Uttar Pradesh Village Development Officer/ Gram Vikas Adhikari gets salary according to theLevel 3 of the 7th Commission. The grade of the Level 3 of the 7th commmission is INR 2000. There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of UPSSSC VDO scores. The official notification reads, "No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The candidates can only raise objections against the provisional answer key. Based on the objections raised by the candidates the final answer key and the result is released." So the candidates get their scores re-evaluarted. However, the candidates can raise objections against the UPSSSC VDO provisional answer key.

A:

No, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission does not conduct the UPSSSC VDO or UP Gram Vikas Adhikari exam every year. The UPSSSC VDO exam was conducted in 2018 which was rescheduled after the cancellation of the exam in June 2023. According to the trends of UPSSSC, the exam is conducted once in five years.

The candidates have to carry the enlisted documents to exam centre inorder to appear for the UPSSSC VDO exam. Documents and things that candidates must carry to the allotted UPSSSC VDO exam centre are mentioned below:

  • UPSSSC VDO admit card: Candidates can download the UP VDO from the official website of the exam using their registration ID and date of birth.
  • One passport size photograph: Candidates need to carry one passport size photograph same as uploaded on the UPSSSC VDO for pasting on the attendance sheet.
  • Photo ID proof: Candidates must also carry a valid and original photo ID proof to the test centre. It may be noted that photocopies of the IDs even if attested or on mobile phones will not be considered. UPSSSC VDO Application Form Important Points 2024

The candidates must know the important points before applying for the UPSSSC VDO exam:

  • Candidates can submit the application form online on the official website of the exam only. UP VDO applications submitted in any other mode will not be accepted
  • Candidates can submit only one application form
  • Candidates must enter their email ID and mobile number in the application form correctly as UPSSSC will do all the important communication regarding the exam through email or SMS

All four steps of the application process (registration, application form filling, uploading of photo and signature, and application fee payment) can be done together or at separate times 

  • Candidates do not need to upload any document other than a scanned photo and signature in the application form
  • In case, the confirmation page is not generated after the payment of the application fee, this means that the transaction has been canceled. The amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account in such cases. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee payment
  • Candidates must retain the printed copies of the confirmation page for future reference
  • Since the entire UP VDO application process is online, candidates do not need to send any document through post/fax/by hand/email to UPSSSC

A:

The difficulty level of the UPSSSC VDO exam can vary from candidate to candidate based on their preparation, knowledge, and understanding of the subjects covered in the exam. However, in general, the UPSSSC VDO exam can be considered to have a moderate difficulty level.

The UPSSSC VDO exam is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for  Group C position in the Uttar Pradesh government.
