Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad

When my 10th exams were over and it was time to decide the stream for Intermediate, I was very sure about my decision to take the Science stream. The reason behind that was that I loved Mathematics and loved playing with numbers. So, my decision to take mathematics in Intermediate was fixed. I am a computer geek since my childhood. I love computers and I think computers love me too.

So, I chose my stream and started focusing on Intermediate only. As I have already shared that I love Mathematics, so I spent most of my time on Mathematics. If I speak truly, I hated Physics and never wanted to study it.

When I was in 12th, it was time to take the biggest decision of my life. This time is very crucial for everyone because this is the turning point of the career. I chose BCA as my career option because I was interested in computers & IT programming. I didn’t want to do engineering as I didn’t prefer it and I wanted to pursue MBA in IT later. BCA would give me technical knowledge as well as management knowledge. In MBA, I could use my technical skills as well as management skills.

So, I decided my career goal and started preparing for IPU-CET. This exam is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) every year.

To crack any exam, firstly, we have to understand the syllabus and the exam pattern. I found out the syllabus and according to that, I purchased the books and started preparing by myself. I used internet and other resources for online tutorials. I solved old question papers; it helped me to understand the pattern of the exam. I took mock-tests.

I gave the entrance and cracked it, but at the time of the counselling, I met a major accident and wasn’t able to take admission in that college.

Then, I chose Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad. I chose this college because of the infrastructure, faculty, and placements. After GD and PI, I got admission in this college. Now, I am happy that I am here.

How to Prepare for an Entrance Exam

The best way to prepare for an entrance test is to first understand the syllabus and the exam pattern. We can join a coaching center for guidance. But we can crack any exam only when we are focused on our goal. So, always stay focused and eat healthy. Make a strategy for preparation, cover all the topics of the syllabus, and focus on weak topics and practice them more. Take mock-tests as they help us understand our strengths and weaknesses.

If our goal is set and we are focused and dedicated towards our goal, we can definitely crack the entrance exam and get admission in our dream course/college.

My College Life

Coming to the learnings and insights, my college life has been awesome. I have learned a lot of new things. The faculty members are awesome and always ready to help.

I think I chose the right career for myself as it was my decision, nobody forced me to do that. So, I am very happy about my decision.

College period is a very important part of our lives as it gives us the opportunity to explore ourselves and live life. College plays a major role in shaping our career. It gives us the opportunity to explore and enhance our skills through extracurricular activities.

Career selection is the most important and toughest phase of a student’s life. I think that career should be selected on the basis of our own interests, and not under the pressure of anyone.

Discover yourself, your interests, values, skills, personality preferences, and strengths. Discover the careers that match your interest and explore them. Find out what information or which individual can help you explore your career option. Find out which classes and activities will help you to develop your strengths.

Making a decision is not an easy task. You have to give time and energy into making a right career decision. Introspect and find out your top priorities before making any decision. Find out what your goal is and how you can reach it, and what action you should take now. Evaluate your decision whether it is realistic, if there is anything preventing you from achieving your goal, who is with you and supports and assists you in achieving your goal.

Choose wisely and according to your interest. If you are doing the work that you like, you will never get bored and will enjoy your work.
