FTII introduces foundation course in Visual Effects & Finishing, candidates can apply online

Interested in pursuing a short course in visual effects and finishing? FTII offers students a foundation course where they can learn about visual effects, animation, graphics and much more.

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has introduced a short foundation course in Visual Effects and Finishing which is to be conducted from April 14, 2020, to July 3, 2020 in Pune. The visual effect and finishing course duration is 12 weeks. Candidates who are interested in pursuing the short term course can apply online on the official website of FTII.

A total of 10 candidates will be accepted by an experts committee which will be followed by a skype interview. Applicants will be selected on the basis of merit. The eligibility criteria set is as such that the applicant needs to be a class XII pass from a recognized university.

About the Course

The foundation course in visual effects and finishing is designed for beginners who wish to explore the VFX field. Students who are interested in visual effects, graphics, animation, this is one course you cannot miss. Students who are selected for the course, for practice, a windows based desktop computer will be allotted to each student. Students will be taught basics such as image editing and photoshop, lectures on VFX, animation field, handling of a still camera, roto-scoping, masking and many more subjects in theory and practicals.
