The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) along with the Union Territory of Ladakh have introduced an online short course on Basic Screen Acting, which will be conducted from August 5, 2020, to August 25, 2020. The online course will be conducted by Phonsok Ladakhi from Leh, Ladhak. Students who are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity, can visit the official website of FTII and register themselves. The last date to apply for the course in Basic Screen Acting is July 28, 2020, till 6:00 PM.

How to Apply
Students are required to visit the official website of FTII. From there they will have to follow a link where they will have to enter their basic details and make the fee payment. Once the candidate has successfully submitted the application form, they will receive an email related to the online course and the guidelines.
About the Course
Actor Phonsok Ladakhi is an FTII alumni and has acted in movies such as Khel Khiladika, RamutuDiwana, Khache Hire, UnchiUdan, Pehredar, Subhash Chandra Bose by Shyam Benegal, Kim by London Films, etc. Students will be taught about the unique approaches to acting which integrated Yoga, Vipassana with Stanislavski's method acting. On how acting is much more than physical and vocal training and how the mind plays at consciousness and subconscious level. The course will cover action problems, improvisation, movement, sense memory exercise, diction and monologue, playback exercise and singing, daily yoga and meditation.
Students will receive e-certificates on successful completion of the course and a minimum of 90% attendance is required for the course. Students can only attend the course via laptop and not through the smartphone.
