AIIMS Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026
AIIMS offers two courses under its undergraduate nursing department, AIIMS BSc Nursing (Hons.), and AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic). These programmes are offered by all the 17 AIIMS institutes/campuses across the country. Below are the eligibility criteria for all three courses:
AIIMS BSc (Hons) Nursing Eligibility Criteria
The following are the exact requirements for admission to AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026:
- Candidates must have passed class 12 exams or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Qualifying examinations should include the following subjects: English, physics, chemistry, and biology.
- To be qualified, a candidate must score at least 55 percent in the qualifying test (50 per cent for SC/ST candidates).
- This programme will only accept applications from female candidates.
AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates who have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination from any recognized board can apply for BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) or
Candidates who have passed class 11 on or before 1996 can also apply for AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic). - Candidates should be registered as a nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

AIIMS MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

Candidates will have to visit to different websites, depending upon the undergraduate and postgraduate courses being opted. After the AIIMS BSc/MSc nursing application process concludes, candidates will be allowed to modify their AIIMS nursing application form during the AIIMS application correction window. Within the rectification period, candidates will have the opportunity to fix any errors in their AIIMS BSc/MSc nursing application; however, some facts about their applications will stay fixed. All applicants would be mandated to submit their application forms before the deadline. No application forms will be accepted after the deadline of the last day of submission/application correction date. AIIMS Nursing Counselling 2026
The AIIMS nursing counselling will begin tentatively in August 2026. AIIMS BSc nursing counselling and AIIMS MSc nursing counselling will be conducted for those candidates whose names will appear in the merit list. Candidates will be called for the counselling on a pre-decided date and time. The counselling will be conducted online. For choice filling and option locking, AIIMS nursing counselling window will open for a certain time period during which the admission seeker will have to fill out their preferences. There will be two rounds of AIIMS nursing counselling for both BSc and MSc programme in which the admission will be finalized. The last step of the AIIMS nursing counselling will be payment of admission fee of the allotted institute.
