AIIMS Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026
AIIMS offers two courses under its Nursing department. AIIMS BSc Nursing (Hons.), and AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic). These programmes are offered by all the 17 AIIMS institutes/campuses across the country. Below are the eligibility criteria for all three courses:
BSc (Hons) Nursing Eligibility Criteria
The following are the exact requirements for admission to AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026:
- Candidates must have passed class 12 exams or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Qualifying examinations should include the following subjects: English, physics, chemistry, and biology.
- To be qualified, a candidate must score at least 55 percent in the qualifying test (50 per cent for SC/ST candidates).
- This programme will only accept applications from female candidates.
AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates who have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination from any recognized board can apply for BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) or
Candidates who have passed class 11 on or before 1996 can also apply for AIIMSBSc Nursing (Post-Basic). - Candidates should be registered as a nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

AIIMS Nursing Exam Application Process 2026
Online access to the application form will be available at the official website, bsccourses.aiimsexams.ac.in. The AIIMS BSc Nursing Application 2026 will be available for interested individuals to apply for. Only qualified/eligible individuals be able to access the AIIMS Nursing 2026 application form, thus prospective applicants are urged to double-check all eligibility requirements before applying for the AIIMS BSc nursing exam. Exam Mode: The AIIMS Nursing Examination 2026 will solely be administered online
Type of Questions: Only multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be included in the exam
Count the number of parts in the exam: There will be four sections in the exam

AIIMS Nursing Exam Syllabus 2026

The AIIMS BSc nursing counselling will begin tentatively in August 2026. AIIMS BSc nursing counselling will be conducted for those candidates whose names will appear in the merit list. Candidates will be called for the counselling on a pre-decided date and time.
The counselling will be conducted online. Choice filling and option locking window will open for a certain time period during which the admission seeker will have to fill out their preferences. There will be two rounds of AIIMS BSc nursing counselling in which the admission will be finalized. The last step of the AIIMS BSc nursing counselling will be payment of admission fee of the chosen institute.
