Syllabus & exam pattern for MASCOM entrance exam 2017

Established in 2002, Manorama School of Communication (MASCOM) provides journalism training to students at post-graduate level. The college conducts MASCOM entrance exam to provide admission to candidates in different journalism programmes offered by it.

Manorama School of Communication admissions are based on the candidate’s score in the journalism entrance exam followed by his/her performance in the interview round. The interview round is usually conducted at the college campus in Kottayam.

Exam dates for Manorama School of Communication entrance exam 2017 are out. MASCOM Entrance Exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 27, 2017. Read on to know the exam pattern and syllabus for the journalism entrance exam.

Manorama School of Communication Entrance Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for Manorama School of Communication entrance is such that it is conducted in two sessions. First session is of 2.5 hours duration and second session is of 2 hours 45 minutes duration. Both sessions are conducted on the same day of the exam.

In 2016, the timings of both sessions of MASOM entrance exam were as follows:

Manorama School of Communication Entrance Exam Syllabus

Candidates need to prepare for different topics for both sessions of MASCOM journalism entrance exam. For the forenoon exam session candidates are generally evaluated on their language skills and aptitude to pursue journalism as a career. In the afternoon exam session, candidates are asked questions mainly on general knowledge.
