Each college has its own admission process. Some colleges conduct entrance examinations, some conduct interviews while some conduct both interview and entrance examination. Rani Birla Girl's College took interviews of the candidates online because of the lockdown.

I chose the Arts and Humanities stream for my higher secondary education. I was determined to take this stream and did not even think of choosing Science or Commerce. In Arts, I had wonderful subjects like Psychology, Political Science, English, Geography, Physical Education and Legal Studies. All these subjects involved a core understanding of the field and also involved a bit of theoretical knowledge as well. I completed my higher secondary with sheer determination and hard work. I am a very creative person.

I had never planned to pursue Journalism and Mass Communication but I think destiny had something else planned for me. So, in the end, I opted for Journalism and Mass Communication to do my undergraduate degree. Initially, I thought of pursuing Psychology but then I changed up my mind. I developed an interest in writing, reporting, and politics while watching the news. I felt that I can tackle adverse situations very well. I have a good sense of time management and there is originality in my writing. All these characteristics can help me to work in this field. I feel that this field has a wide scope in future and it is very interesting. I am also thinking of doing additional courses like animation, graphics, etc.

Each college has its own admission process. Some colleges conduct entrance examinations, some conduct interviews while some conduct both interview and entrance examination. Rani Birla Girl's College took interviews of the candidates online because of the lockdown. In today’s world of tough competition when too many students apply for a few coveted seats in a particular government college, you need to present yourself in such a way that the interviewer sees more potential in you than others. For cracking admission in my current college, I worked hard on my skills and personality.

I tried to get admission in several colleges affiliated to Calcutta University and also in Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication. Amity University, Christ University,   Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University and Sri Sri University, Bhuwaneshwar were some of the prominent universities I tried getting admission into. In the end, I chose Rani Birla Girl's College.
