Andhra University has decided to introduce MBA in Business Analytics from the 2022-23 academic year.
Andhra University Admissions 2021: Andhra University is set to offer MBA in Business Analytics from the 2022-23 academic year. The department of human resource management, Andhra University was merged into the department of commerce and management studies. The same has been approved by the academic senate at a meeting held here in the Andhra University on August 25, 2021. The academic senate met virtually under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor PVGD Prasada Reddy and gave approval to the merger of departments of human resource management and commerce and management studies. During the meeting, the senate also took a decision to increase the number of seats from 44 to 88 for MSc Botany. Similarly, the varsity will double the seats for the integrated course in BTech CSE from the current 120. According to AICTE guidelines, the duration of MCA has been reduced from three to two years.
During the meeting, the senate also took the decision to introduce a PG diploma course in child psychology from the current academic year. The varsity will also introduce a course on logistics to defence employees. It also decided to allow those who have completed their four-year BSc programme in agriculture, horticulture, sericulture and forestry for admission into MTech remote sensing course. The introduction of vocational courses for dairy and animal husbandry at AMAL College in Anakapalle has also been approved by the senate during the meeting.
While addressing the senate, the VC said that Andhra University will commence classes from September 3. He further added that PG exam results could be released in six days. Stating that the University has entered into collaborations with industries and international universities, the VC informed that an MoU was signed with UNICEF on risk communication and community management projects.
