Q: Congratulations! Was this your first CAT attempt?
A: Yes, it was my first CAT attempt. When I received the CAT answer sheet, I was expecting a score of 99.95% but when I checked the result I was happy with the score.
Q: What was your preparation strategy? How did you go about your preparations?
A: QA was my stronger area, hence, I did not devote a lot of time to this section. However, I attempted a lot of mock tests for this section. For the DILR section, I started my preparation with How to Prepare for Data Interpretation for CAT by Arun Sharma. I solved about 60% of the book. VARC was the weaker area, so I took coaching classes for this particular section. I majorly focused on solving mock tests for all three sections for six months. The lockdown gave me enough time to focus on my studies and preparations. Since my VARC section was weak, I tried maximizing my preparations in the other two sections.
