Approximately 2.31 lakh CAT 2021 applications have been received as revealed by IIM Ahmedabad. The total number of CAT applications this year is about 10,000 more than last year.
IIM Ahmedabad has received approximately 2.31 lakh applications for CAT 2021. The total number of applications received is about 10,000 more than last year. For CAT 2020 2.30 lakh applications were received. CAT 2021 registration process had started on August 4 and ended on September 22. An extension of one week was given to candidates for form submission from September 15 to 22.
After the CAT registration process concluded, the IIM Ahmedabad released registration data through an official notification. The form correction window has been opened for aspirants to make changes if required. The candidates can edit fields like photo, signature and test city preference in the CAT application form from September 25 to September 27 (5:00 PM).
CAT 2021 exam is scheduled for November 28 in three shifts. The CAT admit cards will be issued on October 27, 2021. The examination authority will release the CAT mock test in October first week for candidates to familiarise themselves with CAT exam pattern and test structure.

The number of applicants for CAT exam has been fluctuating since the past few years. While the number of application received was above 2 lakh in 2012, it saw a dip in 2013 and 2014 and saw a rise to above 2 lakh again in 2015.
