There is a buzz today that the CAT 2021 notification has been leaked on the internet hours before the official release. According to unverified images, videos and news doing the rounds on internet, the CAT 2021 registration will begin on August 4. We at Shiksha, have also been speculating August 4 as the CAT application process start date on the basis of previous years CAT registration trend. According to the leaked CAT exam schedule, the registrations will end on September 15 and the admit card will be released on October 27.

CAT 2021 notification is expected to be announced any time soon by IIM Ahmedabad, which is the CAT convening institute for this year’s edition.

What’s New in CAT 2021?

It is expected that the CAT 2021 exam will be conducted on the same lines as previous years, i.e. the exam will be of 2 hours and the total number of questions will be 76. The CAT question paper will e divided into three sections – VARC, DILR and QA. The VARC section will have 26 questions, DILR will have 24 questions and QA section will have 26 questions in MCQ and non-MCQ format. The sectional time limit will be 40 minutes per section.
