CAT 2021 Registrations to Begin from August 4; Application Fee Hiked

CAT 2021 registration will begin from August 4 as per the official notification released by IIM Ahmedabad today. The CAT application fee has been hiked to Rs 2,200.

CAT 2021 registrations will be done online on the official website – iimcat.ac.in. The candidates will be required to register with their name, nationality, date of birth, phone number and emai ID. The CAT 2021 exam will be conducted on November 28 in three shifts. The CAT 2021 notification was released today which contains the schedule, exam fees, eligibility criteria, fees, test cities and other details. This year, the CAT registration fee is Rs 2,200 for General category candidates and Rs 1,100 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Last year, fee was Rs 2,000 and 1,000 respectively. In fact, this is the third consequtive year when the CAT application fee has been hiked. In 2019, the CAT application fee was Rs 1,900 and Rs 950.

CAT 2021 Registration and Application Process

CAT 2021 application form is available on the exam website. Given below is the process to follow for registration and form submission.

• Log on to CAT 2021 website
• Create a user ID by entering details such as name, date of birth, email ID and phone number
• Click on 'Generate OTP'
• On successful registration, an OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number  
• Verify CAT registration by entering the OTP in the given field and login again
• Enter all the information asked- personal details, academic details, work experience
• Upload scanned signature and photograph
• Select test cities and preferred IIM campus for WAT-PI shortlisting
• Make payment of CAT application fees via debit/credit card or net banking
