Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is the most popular MBA entrance exam worldwide. The exam score is accepted for a wide range of post graduate management courses in all countries including India.
Over 2,300 B Schools across the globe accept GMAT. In India, 190 MBA colleges accept GMAT scores for admission to their MBA, PGDM, EMBA and other Management courses. Some of the top MBA colleges in India accepting GMAT score are the IIMs, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIFT Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, NITIE Mumbai, ISB Hyderabad, FMS DU and SP Jain School of Global Management, MISB Bocconi and XIMB.

GMAT Highlights
GMAT is a world-wide exam approved for fair evaluation of management aspirants. Check below some of the key highlights of GMAT below:
- GMAT is a computer-based adaptive test. Three attempts are allowed to each candidate. The difficulty level of the subsequent exam is based on the candidate’s previous performance.
- Unlike CAT or XAT, GMAT is not conducted on a particular date. Candidates can choose a date to take the exam as per convenience.
- Candidates can make three attempts at GMAT. Score of the last attempted exam is considered for admission test.
- GMAT score is valid up to five years and accepted for admission to over 7,000 Management courses in over 2,300 colleges/universities across India.
- The GMAT syllabus includes Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.
- GMAT application process is online. Candidates can register and fill the GMAT application form online.
- Applications of GMAT accepting colleges have to be filled separately.
- In 2020, GMAT moved to remote proctoring method for conducting test sessions. Now, candidates can take GMAT from home or at a centre.

GMAT Fees
The application fee for the GMAT exam is USD 275 (INR 23,000 approximately) for taking the test at exam centre and USD 300 (INR 25,000) for online mode. Rescheduling charges are different basis the gap between two attempts.
