After the result of CET, I started preparing for my GDs and PIs for different colleges in Mumbai. I didn't take any coaching classes for my preparation of GD and PI. Although I took coaching classes for my CET preparation and that really helped me to score higher marks.

During school days I used to think Commerce stream opens many doors for students to do professional courses. Because of this, I decided to do commerce with accounting and business management specialization in 11th -12th. I think in commerce stream there are many professional courses like B.Com which help the students to build a strong foundation. This 3 year long undergraduate programme is like a foundation course for those students who are aspiring for professionalism. After completing it, I can choose any course from a wide variety of PG professional courses and specialize in many other fields. This is the reason why I chose the Commerce stream for my higher education.

PGDM in International Business offers opportunities for those aiming to establish themselves globally. Considering the demand for the ongoing international business, the course covers major economics and business topics. Some of the major topics that are covered in the course are business communication skills, negotiation skills, economic & management decisions, financial management, industry visits, international marketing management, global economic environment, international business strategy, etc. PGDM in International Business programme is aimed to produce competent business executives/managers to meet the growing demands in the field of International Management. My curiosity to learn these things made me choose this course.

The entrance exam is mandatory to take admission in college. So I  prepared for CET which is a state-level entrance exam. After the result of CET, I started preparing for my GDs and PIs for different colleges in Mumbai. I applied in Wellingkar for my MBA in International Business but I was not well prepared. So next time I prepared very hard and applied for Vidyalankar School of Business and Institute of Technology and Management (ITM). I got selected for PGDM in International Business in both the colleges.  I did a thorough research about both the colleges. Finally, I decided to take admission in Vidyalankar School of Business, Wadala. During my admission, the college selected students through their CET score. The CEO of the college took my PI only and I became the first student to get selected for PGDM in Vidyalankar School of Business.

I didn't take any coaching classes for my preparation of GD and PI. Although I took coaching classes for my CET preparation and that really helped me to score higher marks. Overall choosing the college and then getting admission in your desired college it was a great learning experience.

The infrastructure of the college is amazing. The classrooms are well designed and smart which makes learning easy and interesting.  Mostly I spend my time in classes attending lectures. There are two tea breaks and one lunch break. I also spend my time in the library. There are three different canteens in the campus area serving Indian, Chinese and street food. For Italian food, we have our own Domino's outlet within the campus. The most important thing is that all the canteens provide tasty and healthy food at affordable prices. We also have a gaming zone where there are computerised games, table tennis, table hockey, carrom, etc. In my free time, I love to visit karaoke or dancing room where I can show my talent or improve it. During weekends I visit the college to see football matches or play badminton and throwball.

After college, I love spending time with my friends discussing my day. In the first year, I was the CR of my batch. I was also a part of the Social Media Committee and so I used to spend most of my morning time with either the dean or professors. We used to talk about the improvising learning experience in classes and making it more comfortable. Being a CR was a huge responsibility and had a lot of things to do during my free time. I had good co-ordination with all my professors. I used to enjoy every class but my favourite subject was Accounts.

If given a chance to be a part of two committees at a time then I would love to be a part of the Placement Committee to gain ample knowledge and exposure. I was a little bit under-confident before joining PGDM but I have changed a lot now. The most important thing is I made good contacts with various people which will be very helpful to me in the future. This course really helped me to become an extrovert. It also helped me in grooming myself and exploring new opportunities.
