How my journey at EMPI began: Moumita Ghosh
While pursuing graduation, I was sure that I will be doing MBA and that time I was very much worried about how I will crack the entrance exams and which institution I’ll join. But after discussing with my relatives I dropped the idea of pursuing MBA as they suggested that I should focus on preparing for government jobs hence I joined TIMES for banking coaching classes. In the meantime, I also worked as an intern with ICICI Bank but gradually I realised my interest lied elsewhere. I wasn’t satisfied with the job as I wanted to pursue MBA. Therefore, I discussed with my parents and my dad suggested me to follow my dreams and do what I wanted to. His words really gave me the strength and courage to take my own decision and finally I decided to pursue my dreams.
How I chose my college
Then, I started searching for good MBA colleges. I got to know that EMPI Business School, Delhi is one of the best B-schools in Delhi-NCR. It offers dual specialisation and also has collaborations with IBM and Manpower Group. As I wanted to pursue my PGDM in Human Resources and since EMPI has a collaboration with Manpower Group, therefore, I decided to take admission in this college. I appeared for the interview and an aptitude test. Few days later I received a call that I have been selected. Thereafter my new journey began.
What I learnt in my college
June 28, 2017, was the day I stepped in EMPI. I was overwhelmed with the peaceful environment and the greenery which surrounds the campus. I was enthusiastic as finally I was in the place where I wanted to be.
Our classes began and gradually I got busy in academic as well as college events. I really enjoyed participating in the events as every event taught me a new lesson. I also learned how to manage both academic and non-academic activities well from my seniors. At EMPI we are blessed with supportive faculty members who are always with us to guide us in every possible manner. The best thing which I like about EMPI is that it gives importance to both academic and non-academic growth of an individual.
At EMPI by being a part of the organising team, I learnt how to organise an event. I get plenty of opportunities to explore my unknown talents after participating in academic events like paper presentation competition, collage making competition, analytical skill competition etc. and every event taught me something new. Even my photography skills also got appreciated when I participated in a photography competition.
One thing I would like to admit is that I too sometimes felt that the college schedule is too hectic and upon that events are organised frequently which was like a headache. But now I realise that these things only taught me how to manage time and helped me to explore myself and also made me confident.
I am really thankful to my father for guiding me into taking a wise decision and follow my dreams or else I would not have explored myself in the better way.
I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go. My journey has just begun and EMPI has been the ladder in my career. I look forward to experience more and more and grab as many opportunities as I can.

Most of the companies start the placement process with a pre-placement talk that describes the job profile, the company's vision and the services provided by them. Students are advised to attend the PPT for the desired company as it is the base step of preparation for that particular company. Therea
