NIRF Rankings 2021: This year has been a journey of learning, hard work & progress, says IIM Indore Director

Climbing up from the seventh rank, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) secured the sixth rank this year among the top 10 MBA institutes.

NIRF Rankings 2021: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF Indian Ranking 2021 today, September 9. Climbing up from the seventh rank, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) secured the sixth rank this year among the top 10 MBA institutes. IIM Indore stands on Rank 5 amongst all the IIMs in the NIRF India Rankings 2021 with a total score of 71.10 out of 100.

Lauding the institute’s achievements, Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore told Shiksha.com, “We have come a long way in our magnificent journey of 25 years. This year, as we celebrate our 25 years of nation-building, we are on the 6th Rank, one up from the last year. The academic year 2020-21 has been eventful and has added numerous accomplishments to the list for IIM Indore. We are committed to excel and enhance and enrich our capabilities in the field of academics and research. We now have foreign collaborations with over 40 foreign education institutes in 16 nations, providing a platform to our participants and faculty members for student exchange and research.”

He further added, “We have signed multiple MoUs not only with the educational institutes but also have collaborated with various government bodies and PSUs, intending to contribute to the nation and society's welfare. This year has been a journey of learning, hard work and progress. The credit for this goes to the entire institute which has worked diligently to make this happen. We intend to do even better in the years to come, he added.

This year, the ranking has been released for eleven categories namely, Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions. The NIRF rankings are based on five parameters  - Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Peer Perception.
