Q:   Is MBA at PIBM Pune better than MIT-WPU?

A:
The comparison between MBA at PIBM Pune and MIT-WPU is subjective and depends on various factors such as faculty, infrastructure, placement records, and the specific programme offerings. According to the data available, PIBM Pune is known for its good placement records, with over 200 companies visiting the campus during placement sessions and offering decent average salary packages. The college also provides internships to its students. On the other hand, MIT-WPU offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in four specializations and has been ranked well in various B-School surveys. It's important to consider the specific features of the programs, the reputation of the institutions, and your own career goals before making a decision. It's worth noting that MIT-WPU does not offer an MBA program, but rather a Postgraduate Diploma in Management with different specializations. Therefore, if you are specifically looking for an MBA program, you may want to consider this factor in your decision. Ultimately, the "better" option between PIBM Pune and MIT-WPU depends on your individual preferences, career objectives, and the specific offerings of each institution. The college is value for money.
Placements: About 95% of students were placed. The highest package was 18 Lacs and the average is about 7 Lacs. Top recruiting companies such as ITC Dabur, HDFC, IDFC, Delloite, etc. 100% of the students got an internship through college. The good thing is that the roles were good during placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, and the hostels are not on campus. There is a small sports complex and gym. The food is average, and the hostel facilities are good enough for students. There is also a paid canteen available for food.
Faculty: The professors were helpful. They provided one-on-one mentors to guide us well in choosing us for our career path. The curriculum was prepared as per industry norms, what the industries want from us and it's relevant to us for industry readiness, where the exams were not much tough for us to crack.
Other: I have chosen the course to gain practical knowledge about management, and I think it would be better if college would work more on that, and the extracurricular activities were not much.

PIBM is the best college for learning with the best ROI.
Placements: PIBM has maintained a 99% placement track record every year. The highest salary package offered to our batch was 2018-2020 is 17 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Reliance Industries, Dwello and Deloitte. Top profiles offered by these companies are an area sales manager, US tax consultant, senior analysts and many others.
Infrastructure: PIBM is equipped with smart classrooms. The library has more than 50,000 books and also provides access from the PDF version. PIBM provided IT labs with more than 150 seating capacity. PIBM does not have its own hostel, but the quality of the hostel is very good. The hostel has 24x7 medical facilities and considers all the safety measures. It also provides the facility to play different games and sports. The quality of food provided by the mess is very good, and they consider all the hygiene factors and maintain the good quality of food.
Faculty: All the trainers of PIBM are industry experienced and experts in their field. Trainers are very helpful, and they are always ready to clear doubts. Teaching methods are based on live examples. The curriculum at PIBM is based on the latest demand of the industry, which helps students to fit in the current requirements of the industry.

I am so satisfied with my collage.
Placements: 80% of students were placed and it was when we just moved to semester 3 and just before completion of our 4th semester, 95% students were placed. The highest package was of 18 lakh and the lowest was of around 6 lakh. Average package was of 8.5 lakh. BNY Mellon and Deloitte was the top recruiters. All the students got winter internship and summer internship. Sales manager, global taxation were the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: See, the campus isn't too good but the surrounding area of campus is very great. It's all green everywhere. The hostel is good but there are some restrictions for hostels that students must adhere. Wifi, labs, classroom, library are all good. Mess isn't too good and medical facilities, sports are also not up to mark.
Faculty: Teachers are so good and very knowledgeable. They have a very better understanding with respect to their students. Apart from this, collage provides us mentors to give us better advice for our upcoming decisions. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams aren't that tuff for those students who study time to time.

It provides the best training and teachers and provided excellent placements for batch 2016-2018.
Placements: In PIBM, placements are amazing. From our batch, every student got placed in top companies. Some of the top companies which visited here to offer placements for our batch were Amazon, SBI Card, Marico, Aditya Birla Group and many more. For batch 2016-2018, the highest salary package offered was 14 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: PIBM has state-of-the-art infrastructure, along with smart classrooms which are equipped with advanced audio and visual technology. Our campus and also hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. There are canteens inside the campus, where we used to go to have snacks. There is also a very well-equipped IT lab with more than 150 computer systems for students. There is a library with around 30,000 book copies.
Faculty: One of the great things about PIBM is its training and trainers. We were trained by extremely knowledgeable faculty members who have worked in the corporate sector before. All the topics were beautifully explained with reference to practical implementations. I felt that the course curriculum was very advanced as it trained me as per the exact requirements of the industry. So, I could start providing quality output in my job from the beginning.
Other: During my tenure at the institute, I enjoyed every bit of it, especially cultural events. Students of the entire college gather together to host events, and annual events like Glory and Aarambh makes PIBM a lot more enjoyable.

Review of Pune Institute of Business Management.
Placements: Nearly 40% of students are still left to be placed. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, but that never came and even if they do. That is under variable pay which is based on your performance. The highest package, in reality, is 5 LPA and the remaining as incentives. Reckitt Benckiser, Upgrade, Marico, etc., still didn't come and after that, there was no follow-up from the college as a result of what happened to companies nobody knows. The placement department has a bit of attitude. They blame everything on the students. the whole college works like that by blaming everything on the student. Internship placements are 100% but there will be no work as some of us sat still during our SIP and don't think that only PIBM was able to provide internships and so they are great. There are many more colleges that may not have given good internships but they were able to place their students in a good company. Internship companies never come for placement. Hardly some do. The recruiting companies are all startups and majorly fake because they will offer you 10 LPA. Sales executive, business development associate, management trainee and all, for which you don't want to get in this college as you will get these same roles in some other good institutions with the same role and package
Infrastructure: Youtube is blocked in the college Wi-Fi. The irony is teachers sometimes refer to youtube to teach. Teachers have access, but students don't, as college thinks youtube will ruin students' careers. Mess food is worse. Sometimes we get cockroaches, and I am talking from my real experience. Initially, the food will be very good to attract the students, and gradually you will get uncooked foods, insects in the food and many more. Even sometimes we got sand. Hostel management is worse they will charge fine if you come late after 9.30 and that on-weekend. You will be charged for any wrong step. Medical facility is zero. They just have a box of medicine which sometimes consists of nothing. The game room is good but you won't get time as in the name of stress college will call you at 7:30 in the morning and they will drop you at 8-9.00 PM even if you don't have any classes. They won't even let you go on your own if you book an Uber or something. So they will waste your time without any reason. Sometimes the chairman's session happens which is again nothing but a waste of time. He will just speak and give hope but will do nothing. He will literally do nothing. He only wants money and nothing else. One of the many reasons for which many good faculty members have left the college.
Faculty: Apart from some teachers, everyone in this institution has a big ego problem. They think they know everything. Some of them even abuse students and as well as their parents. They will give you a bad picture of corporate life a fake picture from which you be scared and you will become like a robot to keep up with their expectations. In the end of they will be the ones who will say "companies are complaining that students of PIBM are like a robot, and have mugged up. " and again the blame comes on to you for which you will have a session with big heads of the college.
Other: Please don't take admission here. Though I managed to get a company still, I am on my internship period. If you want to make your career, don't come to this college.
